Review: Satisfied - So I bought this PAN cornmeal flour to be able to make my own cornbread, tortillas, and muffins. I really do not like to buy cornmeal baked goods from the grocery store. Why? Because of the GIGANTIC list of OTHER ingredients that is ALWAYS a part of corn baked goods. Some of the chemicals in the list of store-bought cornmeal products I cannot even pronounce. Many of the chemicals I do not approve of, after looking them up on the web. So, I really appreciate this cornmeal flour because it is pure cornmeal flour. The label does say there may be soy in the cornmeal. Otherwise, it is just pure cornmeal. The label also offers a nice little recipe to make cornmeal dough and how to cook it. Pretty nice. FLAVOR: the flavor of this cornmeal flour is like nothing else I can describe. It is beyond any freshness and safer that you can imagine out of corn flour. It is light, fresh, and oh so delicate. There is no aftertaste. The flour cooks up absolutely velvety soft and smooth. No grit. I mainly am using it to make breakfast tortillas. We believe in a hearty breakfast at my house. We put meats, cheeses, and eggs on a freshly made cornmeal tortillas....heaven! This PAN cornmeal flour adds to the our breakfast meals so nicely. It is the freshest most delicious cornmeal flour I have ever tasted. The price was amazingly budget minded. Obviously, I highly recommend!

**Q: Would this be suitable to make corn tortillas?**
A: Yes you can make tortillas but this is different from typical corn flours used to make tamales, tortillas, etc. because the corn used to make the tortilla flour, maize, is soaked in lye before grinding and this Corn Meal is not, the result is a different flavor.

**Q: Can this be used for cornbread baked in the oven in a cast-iron skillet?**
A: Hi, Mike! 
Yes, you can bake it in the oven.

**Q: Is this product non gmo?**
A: It says it’s bioengineered,  nothing I would buy

**Q: Where is this coming from ?**
A: Just be sure your package shows imported from Venezuela... They are the last Latin American country to produce GMO corn/maize. Although at this juncture they may be in the process or beginning to.  There is an entire "block" of Latin countries who do and have..big business for them.  I believe Brazil owns the most.

So I bought this PAN cornmeal flour to be able to make my own cornbread, tortillas, and muffins. I really do not like to buy cornmeal baked goods from the grocery store. Why?
