Excellent read, unique and relatable resource for all
This is a great book. I borrowed it from the library and then bought it to have on hand in the future! I'm somewhat new to permaculture and have read many gardening/permaculture books as I slowly overhaul my new backyard. You can tell this author has a blogging and teaching background, as she strikes a great balance between theory, application, and concrete examples. The book is thorough without being boring, is imminently relatable and inspires creativity with endlessly riffable recipes and planting ideas. It's also a beautiful book with many images and drawings. After all my research, I didn't think I'd find a book that sparked so many ideas! I also liked that while the author is an expert, she's doesn't come across as too stuffy and she's not selling an agenda. Seems like there's a lot to gain here for annual gardeners, as well as aspiring and current permaculture gardeners alike!

I love Vera's gardening style!
I'm a huge fan of Greutink's gardening videos: I love how her approach to gardening blends principles of permaculture and no-dig kitchen gardening. This book covers these approaches with lots of practical, hands-on detail and the information comes to life in the abundance of gorgeous full-color photos of Greutink's gardens. And, of course, there's a great section on her signature polyculture gardens! There are even recommendations for polycultures that can be grown in containers (e.g., the mini potager), which I think would be especially accessible for any beginning gardener or for someone with limited space. Edible Paradise is joining my go-to favorite gardening books, which include Charles Dowding's How to Create a New Vegetable Garden, Alys Fowler's The Edible Garden, and Christopher Shein's A Vegetable Gardener's Guide to Permaculture. (I hope that Greutnik's next book focuses on food forests :)

Very approachable & inspiring read for permaculture beginners
I bought the book after stumbling on Grown to Cook youtube channel. I love the approachable, down-to-earth, understandable way Vera explains everything in her videos. And she seems to really enjoy her garden and cooking adventures! The book is written in the same friendly style - nothing expensive, complicated, or laborious is required to start your own permaculture garden, no matter how small (or big). While the exact vegetables & timing do not work for me (I'm in zone 10), all of the principles are solid and can be used anywhere. Lovely pictures are a bonus.

Organic garden inspiration
Just like her "GrownToCook" videos, Vera Greutink’s "Edible Paradise" is a trove of ideas and inspiration for growing organic vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers. Using her ideas, I’ve developed a no-dig permaculture kitchen garden, tried new vegetables and herbs, started a fruit garden, and explored using edible flowers. In my plans are a fruit guild and a thematic polyculture. Vera makes them all seem so do-able, and everything I’ve tried has worked out well. The book is a delightful read, well-organized, and full of photos of her garden. The recipes are easy, visually appealing, and delicious. This is a book that will appeal to seasoned gardeners as well as those just starting out.

Excellent, smile-inducing good read
Vera has an enviable gardening style. Her book is both practical and fun. She covers so much but somehow avoids feeling dogmatic and is more like a choose-your-own-adventure book for gardening. Her motto seems to be have fun, try something new, enjoy your season and its harvest.

Perfect gardening book
This is a great book on no dig, organic gardening. I am clearing and preparing my new allotment for next year and found this book really inspiring and helpful. The language is very friendly, and I found useful to learn how gardening props like netting etc can be used as I never grew food like that in my childhood. I have gardened in raised beds but was good to find out various options and benefits. I like the recepies as well. Overall this is really great book for various gardening advice.

Brilliant gardening book
I bought this book to help me establish a permaculture allotment plot as well as a community garden. I have been doing no-dig gardening for 2 years now and want to continue on this path. This book is very well written, with beautiful photos. It is suitable for someone just starting out as well as people already on a permaculture journey. It is very inspiring and easy to follow with a handy monthly planner at the end. It covers everything from soil and compost to seed sowing, growing perennials, vegetables, fruits, flowers and it even has a few recipes included. I will recommend this book to all my gardening friends.
