Beats EHEIM autofeeder
Works perfectly, I got 3. It is better than the EHEIM model I have, in several ways: (1) the programming setup is easier and more intuitive; (2) the ON/OFF button allows flexibility, the EHEIM does bot have it; (3) the clamp is far better and more secure, the one from EHEIM is a JOKE; (4) it has a battery-life indicator so i know when to replace them, the EHEIM does not have it.Reliability and portion size reproducibility is as good as EHEIM, I checked using a balance. One must be aware that it is true for ALL brands of the rotation- based auto feeder, the food size and shape can greatly affect the repeatability of portion, particularly when you set the feeder opening small. Small, spherical shape, uniform particles, and similar density of food mix work better. So all in all, I highly recommend it. It even cost less than EHEIM, $17 vs $29. I bought the EHEIM first due to high review and that it is more expensive (false logic- the more it costs the better reliability.😉)

This thing works a treat!
I did a bunch of research on which fish feeder to get for an upcoming week long vacation and after reading reviews on a half a dozen of these, I settled on this one. It works really well. I have one Betta and 2 cory cat fish in a 5 gallon tank, so portion size has to be really tiny, and this unit allows the little door to be adjusted in such a way that i can get the portion size nearly perfectly. The interface to set the times is a little uninuitive and I noticed the clock isnt exactly acurate to the minute (seems to drift over the course of a few days) but the fist dont care when exactly they get their meal, just that they are getting it.Overall great unit, especially for the money, kept my fish happy fed and alive while I was gone, and that's all you can ask for. It could have dumped all its food into the tank and made a mess and killed my fish but it didnt. So 5 stars. Works as advertised.

A good purchase, with a minor flaw
We were going on vacation for a couple of weeks and needed something to feed the fish in the multiple aquariums. I bought one of these models just to test out before deciding whether to buy more.I ended up buying more.On the plus side, the unit is quite easy to program. The battery life seems to be more than adequate. You can program up to three revolutions for each feeding, with a max of four feeding times per day. And it does the basic function adequately.Cleaning the drum is relatively easy. You simply pop it off the main device, and then remove the end.On the downside, it is difficult to set the slide for a small amount of pellet food, if the pellets are not miniscule from the outset. It is fine with flake food. But large pellets are an issue.

No drawbacks whatsoever
We got this feeder to make sure our fish were fed when we went on a ten-day trip over the holidays. We installed it a few weeks prior to our departure to be sure it worked properly. It’s amazing! We use flake goldfish food that we just crumpled up into smaller pieces so they fit through the gap for feeding. We’ve just got two goldfish, so we made the gap very small. The amount to be fed is highly customizable, from a tiny bit to a whole lot, with small increments in between. Adjusting the feeding schedule is super easy with easy-to-understand instructions. We mounted it with the sticky pad that came with it and the food drops through the hole at the back of the tank next to the filter. No mess. No moisture in the canister. Almost silent operation. There’s a tiny tick when it initiates the feeding process. That’s it. The best automatic feeder I’ve ever used. Also, it is now May and we’ve been using it since December and haven’t had to change the batteries. It operates once a day. Pretty great battery life. Honestly, no drawbacks whatsoever. Haven’t had any problems with it.

I had issues!
I bought this fish feeder to feed 6 koi while we were away for 9 days on vacation. I use pellet fish food. The set up was not intuitive (the menu system is clunky), but there were good directions and I got it programmed. It was difficult to mount to the edge of my pond (the pond container is too thick), so I mounted it to a chair over the edge of the pond. I turned and nudged the fish feeder and it easily popped off the base and fell right into the pond. So I tested the moisture-proofing immediately. I immediately took out the batteries and stuck the display in a container of rice to dry it out. The display got a lot of condensation inside it, but the machine kept working and the condensation went away eventually (like after a few weeks). The food release is controlled by a sliding door that you open more or less to dump more or less food. I wasn't sure how much would come out so I put the door mostly closed. We went away and then came home in two days because of some bad weather at our vacation spot. The feeder was almost empty of food. The fish were overfed and there was a lot of wasted food in the water. So I could have been more conservative with how much I left the feeder door open, I guess. It was not a success for me, but I think this would work much better on a small, indoor tank and with flake food. If I go on a long vacation again, I think I'll ask someone to come and dump a little food in the pond half way through our trip.

rotates horizontally as well, sticky circle for non clampable areas
I had the older design from a competitor for some time, but what drove me crazy was the inability to rotate horizontally in order to get a more accurate drop of daily food for my fish. Well I was skeptical at least in trying another product, but let me tell you, this is perfect for my fish! Easy to program, adjustable for even small flakes / food for small fish (which is what I have), and been more than happy with the design and thought process in the design. Been using this for a few months now and going to get the same deal for my new fish tank as well. Loved the option to even use the self sticky round circle to adhere to the actual tank your way versus just the clamp. (I used the clamp). But for my new tank, the clamp option does not work so love the sticky! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Don't shop any more, this is THE ONE to get. ENJOY!
