Decided to try my hand at wood carving during the whole quarantine situation, this was surprisingly easy to use and with a few tutorials off of YouTube I’m up and running. I didn’t really know what to expect being that this was my first attempt and with the assistance of some safety gloves for an added layer of protection I felt confident after my first few cuts you will too. You should expect to make errors and break pieces as this is softwood but once you figure out the direction of the grain and the importance of applying pressure you’re going to be on your way with this. would recommend for anybody

The product is exactly as advertised, was easy to order, and was delivered very quickly. I would like to suggest another product modification: same bundle with each stick cut at 45 degree angle length-wise. This would increase product demand from carvers practicing face and spirit images, as well as ornament carvers.

CAUTION IF YOUR A NEW CARVER THIS IS NOT THE WOOD FOR YOU IF YOUR LUCKY YOU MIGHT GET SOFT WOOD! This stuff is harder then concrete I wasted money buying 3 boxes of the 2x2x6 it is all hard I pushed as hard as I could on the corner and it only went in 1/8 of and inch I would send it back but I tried pieces from each box Ill use it if I need blocks to hold up a truck or something as I'm sure it would hold it just fine terrible stuff if you have to push this hard it's not if you cut yourself it you will cut yourself. Will never buy again.

Not a beginner nor an expert carver but I’ve created a lot of piles of shavings and these blocks are some of the best I’ve found on line. Consistent quality and reliable shipping at reasonable prices
