I don't normally leave reviews, especially on something as simple as an ashtray. But this ashtray is wonderful! I love the fact that it's made of a strong sturdy metal rather than plastic like most others. It's beautifully crafted, very smooth and shiny but with a slight matte visual texture that is very pleasing to the eye. It is slightly weighted on the bottom, reducing the chances of tipping over. The lid fits perfectly and makes a pleasant metallic ringing sound when removing. Because of the high quality craftsmanship, this ashtray would even make a beautiful decorative container to leave on display. I plan on buying a few more.

I first ordered the large with lid. With the lid it is definitely taller than a soda can. Considering the way auto cup holders are made to be so shallow, it's a little too tall but heavy enough it won't fall over. I ordered the small with lid and this should do better in my opinion. Nice machined ashtray that won't stink up or melt like the plastic junk. Once the smoke is dropped and lid on all is well. Very easy to clean. Love the brush too, haven't needed it, but it's adorable and will keep it from clogging like the plastic junk.

After using those dollar store black plastic ashtrays that burned I started looking for a safer alternative. While these cost a lot more they are a permanent solution. The stainless steel is thick and heavy. I bought two and wash one to a pristine new condition while using the other. They look good and are more stable with the straight sides. I would strongly recommend these ashtrays. They are attractive, safe and odorless.

This isn't much of a review as I didn't actually use this ashtray. It looks solid and of good quality so I think it would work fine in most situations. I should have looked at the description more closely before I bought it. The reason I returned it was I think it would be more difficult to clean then my other ashtrays. This one has a 'lip' around the top of the lid and the lid is not removable. I have other ashtrays without anything around the lid and with removable lids. It's quite simple to dump out all the ashes, wash it, wipe it out and it's relatively clean. I think this ashtray would be more difficult- ashes would collect under the 'lip' and it'd be harder to clean it underneath it. It's just a personal choice.

Metal over plastic!!!! This wont get a burn hole through it. Its the size of a soda can. The lid isnt tight on it so always carry it by the bottom if you dont want to spill it. But its the best car ashtray you can buy

A good looking and solid ashtray. Holds a lot of butts. The parts fit solidly together and won't fall apart when dropped. Should be easy to clean. I use one for my regular home ashtray.

Once the butt goes in the hole, put the lid on and that's it. Smoke doesn't escape even without the lid, but I always use extreme caution when smoking. I ordered the large one too. I ordered another another one for other room!
