Very good and tasty meal for the out doors and backpacking. Can divide into two neals.

These are perfect for hunting, camping and food storage. My husband loves taking them out in the wilderness because they are easy to add hot water and they don’t taste nasty like some of the other freezer dried food. I wish they were cheaper but the quality of food is worth the price.

I tried this out in my last backpacking trip. The portion size was large enough to fill me up for the night and the flavor was spot on. The texture of the beef crumbles was very odd, however. I let this sit for a good long while and the beef never softened. It was like eating pasta with beef croutons. Strangest thing. I wouldn’t say it was unpleasant but it was definitely something to get used to. For the amount of protein in this, I’d say it’s worth trying, as it really was tasty. Just be ready for some crunch in your pasta.

Still one if my favorites. Delicious, rehydrates well, and used for my favorite thing which is being outdoors. Personally i feel that these meals are worth the extra money. If you are putting all the work in of hiking, hunting, or whatever, why not fuel your body with something you can look forward to eating. Plenty of calories and again, i love the taste. Will buy as long as i am still able to do what i do. Peak really is my refuel.

I have tried a lot of freeze dried food. This is the best on the market. The portions are enough to get full and its real beef.

Food is so subjective. This is filling and nutritious, and doesn't give me indigestion like other brands (you know who you are). But IMO this particular flavor was really bland. It's not bad if you can zest it up with something but I couldn't really taste it as-is. Also, it was a bit harder to rehydrate than other flavors - something about the beef crumbles in this mix left them still crunchy well past the 10 minute mark. They did work out eventually but it took almost 20 mins so naturally it was cold by then. I think this would be really good if you want "el diablo" mode on it and added some cholula (or whatever you like) and some dehydrated sun-dried tomatoes, or a bullion cube. That's all it really needs.

I gave it a try expecting it to be mediocre, but it actually has a good taste. Would recommend.
