It covers all the scratches and makes a dull old handbag like new again. Just be sure to let it dry thoroughly and to buff out with a soft rag or a paper towel to make sure 100% of residue is gone. There is not much residue but with a purse you want to get 100% off so your clothes and coat are not damaged. Place newspaper on the floor and wear some medical type gloves to apply so you don't stain your fingers. I had no problems with the cap or applicator. They worked perfectly. This one coat lasts a long time. At least a year. It is also great for leather boots and shoes. It is amazing and I wish Kiwi would keep this KIWI Color Shine Liquid Polish Black 2.5 FL. Brought my shoes back to life! It's a great value, $6 or something, easy to use, clean shoe, dab the applicator, spread it around and you're done. It dries quickly, has a great shine and looks great. I've used it on my work boots and it does scuff up easily but another dab and you're good as new.

Creates a high gloss shine very easily and fast, however it is a lot less durable than a hard wax polish and scuffs show easily through it. Good product in a pinch.

I have always used the paste and it was a lot of work. This stuff is easy to apply and shines like new. It even works on patent leather.
