Baader Planetarium2" Clicklock Adapter for Smaller 2" SCT Thread

When you combine this visual back with a quality 2" diagonal that also supports twist lock and also supports 1.25" eyepieces, your viewing experience significantly improves. The improvements include: less vibration; no more fumbling for thumscrews in the dark to secure / unsecure diagonal or eyepieces; remove worry about whether you have properly secured your eyepieces (esp expensive ones); and the ability to safely support add-ons such as astro cameras and smartphone holders.

I really like this. Unfortunately my 2 inch diagonal doesn't fit. Its too small for the clicklock. My 2 inch lenses fit fine. So nowni need to find some kind of adaptor to make it work. I found a Meade 2 inch diagonal and it fit perfect. So I hunt for the adaptor to make it fit. Till then it will sit in the box.

Works as advertised, I'm able to reposition my camera at any angle while my scope slews at odd angles on the wedge. Only problem is that it doesn't fully thread onto my Celestron focal reducer. Only about five turns then it stops and there's still plenty of thread left. It is secure though.

I have an 8' Celestron Evolution scope, and use this to connect my Apertura diagonal to various 2" eyepieces. It works incredibly well and is a pleasure to use!

I bought this for my Meade LT 8" ACF telescope. I upgraded to a 2" diagonal and an adapter between the threading on the rear cell of the OTA and the nose of the diagonal is required. There are other options that are probably less expensive. However as with everything Baader makes the clamp is well constructed and made of quality materials. It perfectly fits the threads on the telescope and the click-lock holds the diagonal securely. I was a little worried that the extra distance between the end of the OTA and the surface of the mirror diagonal would degrade the image quality but I have not perceived any degradation. Although it is difficult to judge because moving to a two inch diagonal does yield a noticeable improvement.

I have a older Celestron SCT 8" and the click-lock works great. The threads on the Click-Lock are a little tight so I hadto make sure the threads matched each other before installing it by using a Thread Gauge. They did match and all is well.

dont dislike anything about it. perfect for quick lock and disconnect of any peripherals that you want to install without having to unscrew/screwing the traditional pins. i love my bader click lock.
