Van Der Hagen Men's Luxury Fragrance Free Shave Soap (Pack of 1)

For the price, this shaving soap is fine. I love the fact it is not scented. Initially it didn't produce much lather but that changed after a few days. Now lathering is quick and plentiful. I miss the British shave soap I had been using. That got to be too pricey for my stubbles.

I wish the soap was a pretty round fancy white bar with the windmill logo carved into the soap middle like in the box picture. But instead its a semi clear-color soap inside a flimsy clear disposable plastic container. Think of semi-clear Jello in a Jello container kinda. Translucent as they show in the advertised picture but not fancy looking. To me and my super K9 nose it don’t feel completely unscented/odorless. It does have a very distant light subtle barber-alcohol-fragrance very distant scent to it in my nose which in my opinion I think it’s very soft and pleasant and I do like it. I washed my hands with it quickly and I like that my hands felt dry-clean after drying my hands with no oily traces behind and it also made a good quick light lather. I bought it to test if I could melt it and transfer it to a new permanent shaving bowl and add my favorite designer cologne-perfume to it and see if I could made it into a permanent high end cologne-perfume scented shaving/beard-wash soap. It works wonderfully. This is what I did..First I put the original plastic soap container in the center of my microwave with its lid open and heated it up 10 seconds and paused it for five seconds and then again totaling three times/28 seconds total and it melted into a warm liquid. I then sprayed about 15 sprays of my all time favorite #1 designer cologne-perfume inside the new permanent shaving bowl and then proceeded to pour the clear warm liquid soap in while very slowly steering it with the perfume, carefully avoiding to create any bubbles so it could dry completely clear solid again. I then sprayed it on top another 5 more sprays and covered it loosely to avoid moisture buildup and allowed it to dry and solidify again. Now I have a fabulous Dior Sauvage EDP superb top-notch top-shelf high-end designer-cologne-perfume shaving/beard-wash soap that smells amazing. One thing though is that next time I’m buying the three-pack and I will put the solid soap puck inside the new permanent bowl and melt it there, so it’s easier and nothing gets wasted. Love it!

I'm new to shaving with soap not fr a can and this stuff is great. There's virtually no smell and it's pretty smooth. It's hard to get a perfect lather but that's likely an expiernce issue and not the fault of the product.

Excellent product. Just a faint glide over the face is enough to work up a full lather. No brush needed. Camping, travel, or at home the plastic container will suffice for storage. No scent and skin not dry afterwards. After a month the cake looks like new, so little is needed. Worth at least double the price.

Awesome. PURE soap. Lathers well and produces a great shave. It also works as a great face wash at the end of a sweaty day. It is only soap, and it is GREAT.

These are pretty good, not great. The smaller shaving blocks they make are much creamier and protect your skin better when shaving. These don’t protect my skin as much as I’d like, however they are better than other brands I’ve used and last a long time so for that, 3 stars.

This is the best shaving soap I have ever used. Have used a mug and brush for years and years. I tried various others since Williams Mug soap stopped being available. Most recently Viking Revolution, though I don't care for scented soaps. The Van Der Hagen unscented gave me a smoother shave (same razor/same cartridge). No annoying smell. The better shave may be due to the glycerin in the soap, I don't really know. On top of this it is a good value. The puck of soap looks like it is 3 times larger than Williams or Viking. Found my new soap.

I have been shaving with this soap for about 20 years. It’s a fantastic product. Buy it and use it.

بشرة وجهي حساسه وجربت الكثير من منتجات الحلاقه ( جميع المنتجات الي موجوده داخل السعوديه والكثير من المنتجات طلبتها من الخارج ) وجميعها كانت تحسس وتهيج وتجرح وجهي او الجيد منها ما يحسس لكن قوامه سيئ للحلاقه ، لكن هذا الصابون رائع جدا جدا ، ما يسبب اي تحسس وقوامه كثيف وعظيم في الحلاقه ، ومايجفف الوجه ، لذلك هذا الصابون عظيم ومن الافضل وراح اشتريه ثاني .
