Out of the Dark (Falcon Securities Book 1)

Mac (John McKinsey) does undercover work for Security company. Mac is the total opposite of Co. lawyer Em (Emily Richards). He accidentally gets Em involved in an undetcover sting. Due to a misunderstanding, all Hell breaks loose from Russia to Texas. Mac and Emily kept trying to stay alive, many times angry with each other due to misunderstandings or held truths. And, falling all over each other despite their decisions to stay away in matters of the heart.The story was full of excitement, suspense, action and danger. Never knew what was going to happen next. There was lots of sexual tension, a few... "intimate" situations aka sex. But, overall I loved the book. Definitely one to read more than once and never get tired of.I loved the main characters as well as secondary characters. I specially loved when Brenda punched Victoria in the face!! She became my hero in an instant!! I felt sorry for Emily. Sometimes we put up with selfish, jealous calculating evil people only because they are family!The villain in the story is pure evil. This guy is a sick murderous drug lord. Even past horror books haven't had a guy as vicious as Ramon Marino in all the books I’ve read. I really couldn't wait for the guy to be killed! Sick!Now, for the narrator... Duh! It's David Brenin!! Anyone who follows audible or authors on social media is aware of how amazing this man is! The voice is clear, each character has their own personality, and emotions are heartfelt.. The men and women are amazing! As a voice actor he keeps you interested and there's no choice but to fight sleep and keep going. There has never been a narration by him I haven't enjoyed! -Yes, even stories I didn't care for. He's one of the main reasons in choosing a book, as audible lets you search books by narrator. (๑°꒵°๑)♡I did read some negative reviews. I disagree with them. I enjoy books and don't take notes for research. Unless, the author mentions a book and author in a story. If you like romance novels with a touch of action and thrills, I think you'll enjoy this one.

I found this book free on Amazon and thought why not it might be a bit on the chice side but maybe it might be fun. Lets say if you have a check list trust me everything will be check off when it comes to Romantic Military suspense books.Russians Bad, American's Good, Tall Dark and Handsome Alpha Male, Sassy Heroine who is in the wrong place at the wrong time, and she swoons over his amazing hot body.Falcon Corporate attorney, Emily Richards is sent to Russia to mediated but while she is there is test out her "friends" lasted technology for fun. John "Mac" McKinsey is running away from the Russians and needs an escape so he tucks himself away in Emily Hotel room until it is time to leave on her Corporate jet. Lots of fast pace actions scenes make up for some of the more cheesy elements in the book.Emily Richardson is a very easy character to like with her sassy attitude, hard worker and her past baggage makes you feel. She doesn't get mowed down by the Alpha males in the book and stands on her own to feet.This book has lot of predictable moments but again the author makes up for that in the banter of the characters, actions scenes and a few sexy scenes but instead of having Emily pine away for Mac she makes Mac pine after Emily from the beginning of the book. Making a predictable book much more fun.All in all this book is a quick enjoyable pool side head during the long summer months or a sat by the fire during the long winter months.

This is an author I will follow. Knew nothing about this book but gave it a try: SO glad I did. She throws out the line and (at first) slowly drew me in. Then the twists became more compelling and I just could not wait for the next page! If you like who done it books, with plenty of unexpected turns give this one a try. You will not be disappointed!

Out of the Dark is a ok action suspense book. I enjoyed reading it but I didn't love it.There was plenty of action from the start, Mac and Emily staying one step ahead of the bad guys.The suspense was ok but not great. Felt like some more information would of been helpful. For instance the Falcon organization, the good guys,A litte bit more background on Mac and Emily. I felt like I came in half way threw and I missed the important parts.The romance - I didn't feel it, to me it wasn't there.To start off with they both didn't like each other, they didn't know much about each other as well, even tho they knew each other threw their work.In between the argued and running from the bad guys, I didn't feel the romance and falling in love, but they still had time to have sex twice, once on a plane and second time in a hotel. It could be me but I just didn't connect with the two of them as a couple, as individuals they were great.Will I read the next one most likely not.(less)

Read the book cover to cover non stop. The author has done it again. She has woven a tale out of bare bones. You are swept up from the beginning with Mac and Emily who are attacked at every turn while they try to find out who and why they are being hunted. So get your copy and be thrilled at the romantic suspense and action throughout the book!

I loved it

A blistering start to this series . I can always tell if I'm going to enjoy a book by the way the author presents her very believable characters. Strong alpha males who seem untouchable until you put them together with a woman who breaks down their walls of defence and then all bets are off. The path to true love never runs smooth it's kind of like the justice system where the truth can hurt in more ways than one and the fight to remain free can get really grim. So do you want to get down and dirty with the Falcon guys I know I do and I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the ride. Great writing and a great cost. A brilliant way to spend the afternoon

This was an excellent romantic suspense.If you like lots of action, likeable characters andstories that travel the world this is for you.

Enjoyed this book well written, if you like security guards with I cant be in love issues who fall in love then you will like this book, the sex is not over the top and fits into the story well, but if you like really hot and plenty of detail sex then try one of the other authors who write security or bodyguard plots, ( Samantha Towle ,Cristin Harber )
