grandma lucy's Simple Replacement Chicken and Rice - 7oz

So quick and easy to prepare. Simple ingredients, no chemical additives. We always have this in the house in case our dog gets into something and has been throwing up. He LOVES it more than his regular food. I mix it in with his dog food once his tummy is back to normal. Worth the price. Big portion, lasts for several meals. We refrigerate the extra in between meals.

As our dogs get older their stomachs cannot handle the plethera of ingredients found in kibble and canned food. I found myself researching how to make dog food, and then boiling chicken, cooking rice and other whole foods, taking a great deal of time, energy and money, all the while, wondering if they had the nutrients they needed. Then I stumbled upon the freeze dried versions of dog food. And, then this simple recipe. Benefits include: SIMPLE INGREDIENTS: Easy to digest. Great way to get your dogs digetive system back on track and stay on track. STORAGE: Easy to store anywhere. Live on a boat, in a car, a van. This takes up little space with a long shelf life. You can store this anywhere and prepare when needed. YUMMY: My dogs love this food. This has been my go to when my dogs have been sick, as they have gotten older and have become picky. We used this for a friend's dog with massive digestive problems, who after one week on this regimen this little guy was able to begin to heal and return to the happy little guy he once was. GREAT TO MIX WITH YOUR FOOD: We mix this with Grandma Lucy's Chicken Recipe Artisan Freeze Dried Food for a complete healthy meal, now. We do sprinkle some physillium husks and fresh shredded boiled chicken breast on top. The broth from boiling the chicken was saved in the form of ice cubes and added to the food and as a treat. For those dogs who you are having trouble drinking water, you can add the broth to the dog food mix. They will lap it up. PRICE: Super affordable, all can be used. No waste. RECOMMENDATIONS: Would love to be able to order this in larger quantities. With multiple dogs these little bags don't last long. Remember, we mix this with Grandma Lucy's Chicken Recipt Artisan Freeze Dried Dog Food.

These are the most convenient packs to have on hand when your dog(s) get sick! I always have at least 4 on hand in case our pups have an upset stomach. They get so excited as soon as they see the bag, and I think they want it more than their regular food!

dogs love it

perfect for easing a tummy. we keep a few of these packets on hand so that when our dog has an upset stomach, we immediately stop his regular food and switch him to this for a couple days. has always worked well. only reason i did not give 5 stars is b/c it is simply chicken & rice which you could make yourself. but you can't beat the remedy or the convenience.

My dog loves this. I use when she has an occasional upset stomach. She is 16 years old.

Dog would not eat it, chicken chunks too big for little mouths, not a lot of chicken.

We have bought a lot of grandma Lucy freeze dried products for our dogs through the years and when I saw this I had to buy some. When our dogs have any kind of gastrointestinal upset we usually make rice and add cooked chicken or ground beef and that’s what they eat for a few days. The convenience of having these packages on hand is wonderful because it gives me time to get to the store to purchase the items I need to cook for our sick dog. They gobble it down so it must taste good. Yes it’s a little pricey for what it is but convenience does usually come with a higher price tag. Worth it to me
