It comes with a 6 1/2" blade (which are readily available at Depot or Lowes) and I think it's got a two year warranty. Used mine all day today cutting pressure treated 2x6's; never missed a beat. **Q: What's the difference between this bss610z and the homedepot xss02z?** A: Home Depot has nothing to do with it, they just sell it. The XSS023Z is a newer version and is equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating and the BSSA610Z isn't, the XSS02Z is also a little lighter. **Q: Is there a dado blade for this saw?** A: Ummmmm, no. I wouldn't put a dado blade on this saw. And it wouldn't be good for the motor either. **Q: Is the saw left blade?** A: Yes. I have cut 3/4" plywood; 2 x 4 lumber; 4 x 4 post (making a cut on all 4 sides); and 1/2" treated plywood without missing a beat. The 1/2" treated plywood were cut into 12" wide strips, lengthwise (4 pieces per sheet), through a total of 17 sheets and the battery had to be changed half way through the eight sheet. That was using the blade that came with the saw. It is exactly what I expected from Makita. Easy to put the blade on; small enough to handle the saw with one hand if needed. Being a female, I never use a full size circular saw -- too heavy. I always look for a smaller, trim saw, and this is the first battery powered one I have tried. My chorded one is a Makita (built a 30 foot long front porch with it) and it worked so well, I thought I would give the battery one a try and I am glad I did. Planning on building a back porch in the near future and this will be a whole lot more convenient than the corded one, when working off the ladder. Thank you Makita and thank you Amazon for selling it. UPDATE: I bought this saw back in 2015. Still working great. Absolutely no issues of any kind. Just built an 8' x 12' shed with it. I have even used it to cut Fiber Cement siding (to cover the shed). Still runs like new and still last a long time on a charge. I am also still using the same batteries that I purchased with the saw. No issues with them either.
