Q: What are the dimensions?

If you scrolled down the product info, you'd find these dimensions: 7.1 x 8 x 13.3 inches. It's a great toy. I bought it as a gift years ago for a friend's baby and it's still going strong.

Q: Does the top come off? I know with some activity boxes the top comes off so they can play with just the bead maze part. Thanks for your help!

I bought this quite a while ago. I don't remember that the top came off. I think that it is a solid cube. It is very well made and lots of fun for the kids to play with.

Q: Is this toy okay for 8 mo? Description states not for children under 36 months?

I don't believe it's OK for an 8-mo-old baby. If the baby isn't stable sitting up, s/he could fall face forward and get hurt hitting his/her face on the wooden corners of the box. It's a super toy and I agree that a baby should be a toddler before playing with it. It would definitely entertain a child of 3 years old.
