It doesn't anymore but we are far more careful with the amount we use when using this paper. So cant say it's due to the paper itself **Q: Is the smell supposed to be so overpowering? It's like I've inhaled sun tan lotion.** A: I don't know...I've ordered these on a regular basis for a couple of years now, but I order the 2 ply, which are fine & I have ordered 3 ply when everyone started panic buying, mine were sold out & they were fine, but I would have thought 4 ply would go some way to blocking your toilet eventually. It is unscented but I prefer as simple as possible when its come to toilet rolls. This is very good quality which is tough but not rough with reasonable price, quantity & affordable and feeling clean after used. Highly Recommend👍 Hopefully the quality will remain the same if not better, as some other people were saying the quality has changed after a while. I am happy with this so far.
