This is the fifth book in the series. What I have learned is that snipers are despised by all armies, even to the point that those armies hate their own snipers. Well researched and written!

What a great war story. A great plot with plenty of action to keep the pages turning in the great book.

I have really enjoyed this series, loved the humor and how the soldiers come together to get through the toughest times using humor to brighten those times. Here we have a group going behind enemies lines trying to bring one soldier that is being held home. Not sure that they are only going in for one but that is how the story starts out, what happens is they end up bring more back than they thought they would. It is a great plot, well written, highly entertaining, I love the danger, how the story is laid out, with a touch of romance that most soldiers go through at one time or other.I am not as happy with this narrator as the one that has been doing this series. There are time when I don't feel what the men are going through there was no true emotion pulling me in making me feel the danger, excitement. I thought he left it flat, I didn't care for some of his character voices. It wasn't a bad audio I just didn't feel the passion that I got with the last narrator. There are no background noise, no repeating of word, it is a very clear audio that I did for the most part enjoy. I thought repeating the name of the book at the start of each chapter was a little to much and took away from the start of the book. I was just getting into the story when Red Sniper was said which took my thoughts to that and not what was going on.Still it is worth a listen if you have listen to the rest of the series you should enjoy it.The bottom line is it is a great story, narration isn't bad. I look forward to listening to the next one in the series with the narrator that started this series.

Red Sniper, has sufficient action to make it a very enjoyable read.It's the fifth book in the series and I've enjoyed all of them.

Great twists and turns which will keep you guessing. Hard to put down. Interesting look into a dark time in history.

Strong characters

Sniper vs sniper. Vast Russian landscape in the dead of winter for a setting in which to rescue a senator's son.

I enjoyed Book 5 as much as the previous 4. This World War II story is as real as it gets. He has captured life as it was in War! This series is a must read for anyone who enjoys military stories!

The escape by plane from a Russian airbase really was a ‘fetch’ too far but I do like Cole! Korea next?

Was and interesting story as the Russians did keep foreign soldiers and others captive and enslaved well after ww2 ended. So I found this story well written with a very good plot . Had trouble putting it down .
