Precalculus With Limits A Graphing Approach 5th Edition

I work with homeschoolers who use the Great Courses Pre-calculus video lectures; this 5th edition text was co-written by the lecturer, Dr. Bruce Edwards, and it is an amplification of those lectures. The text itself is highly accessible and has excellent exercise sets (with a separate solution volume for all the odd-numbered problems). There is also a separately available note-taking guide for the text that is helpful for students to attend to the most salient ideas from each lesson. I'm sure that this edition is too old to still be used in colleges, but as an adjunct to the Great Courses class, it is invaluable.

Dislike.

Have to carry a heavy textbook around is a drag. Order a second-hand textbook so the kids won't have to carry it everywhere is a great solution for any parents. Able to obtain one for such low price is GREAT!

I was a math major in college and I have been tutoring my siblings, nieces, nephews, neighbors and now my kids. Since none of my previous mentees went all the way to calculus, I had to do more homework to bring me back to speed and be able to help my kids (one in college and one in HS). This book was great in explaining some of the stuff I had forgotten.

Very good condition means different things to different people I guess! No rips or tears though.

Arrived on time and quality as described.

Look at it this way -- an extra math book is an investment. This is one expense my wife and I did not mind despite the fact that it is the priciest of all the texts.
