Review: Works great when you need an active extension cable - I needed to relocate a bluetooth receiver from my office to my living room and learned that an "active" USB extension cable was required. This works perfectly, and I even added a 2 port hub to it which works without issues. This was much cheaper than the USB 3.0 extension cable, which was overkill for my needs, and I am happy with my purchase.
Review: Great wire, great length, great price! - I bought this item based on, albeit limited, prior mostly positive reviews at the time and took the chance. I have to say so far everything is as reported by others and works great with a amazing length and price. I have a PS3 and home theater unit located in my closet a distance away from the TV (about 25 feet) and all wires essentially run in the basement drop ceiling and walls. So I needed something long enough to cover this ground for the Move camera, located by my TV. I bought two desertcart USB 6 foot wires for the inside of the wall immediately behind the TV and used the Plugable 10 meter wire for the remaining ceiling and PS3 connection portion. Works great with the Move camera with no apparent issues or slowdown. This has been about 2-3 weeks of use (knock on wood). Games we use include Eyepet for my daughter and Sports Champions. I also have the TripLite wires (two 16 foot wires) for the other PS3 USB outlet but the one TripLite wire died after limited use and I will try to send that one back. Honestly, the TripLite wire worked equally well (and have no qualms despite the breakdown, unless they refuse return then will probably buy another Plugable 10 meter wire) with the Move camera but I think it was bad luck (red light indicator on the TripLite female end does not work and signal will not pass either). Both the TripLite and Plugable 10 meter wires are of equal caliber, as far as thickness, and apparent quality. The desertcart USB 6 foot wires also worked fine for me. Either option is good but this one is much cheaper and you get much more for the price than the TripLite. Only Con is that it does not have a light like the TripLite but the lack thereof is not a big deal to me. As long as it works well.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An "active" cable makes all the difference.

I once went to a computer shop, asking for an "active" USB extension cable. The shop owner treated me like I was coming from Venus (grin), suggesting that there was only one kind of USB cable - and that all USB extension cables stopped working after roughly 16 feet. I don't go to that shop anymore, hehe. Yes, there IS a difference. There are "passive" USB extension cables that do have a serviceable length limit (around 16 feet). I'm assuming there is some kind of serviceable length limit for "active" USB extension cables - but I've not found it yet. Here's how I use it. A few years ago, I went on vacation to a rural location in upstate New York ... staying at a motel that didn't have WIFI. My laptop said there were no unencrypted (unsecure) WIFI hotspots nearby. However, I have a 2 watt bilinear WIFI amp that amplifies incoming signals and outgoing signals. The WIFI amp & antenna connect to my computer through a USB cable ... but the cable is short. I could see a usable signal but could not connect to it. But using this 32-foot active extension cable, I was able to put the amp's antenna outside my motel room. Once I did that, I got a great connection that maintained itself 24/7 for the week I was on vacation. Not only that, I did a trace on the origin signal. I was in upstate New York. The WIFI signal's origin was across Lake Champlain ... in Vermont (grin). In any case, whenever I go to remote locations, I always take the amp and the 32-foot cable with me. And so far, I've not failed to get a usable signal. P.S. In September, I'll be staying at a fancier hotel on the Oregon coast. They have WIFI ... but say reception is "not guaranteed" in the cheap rooms. Hehe, little do they know... P.P.S. In case you're curious, here's the 2-watt bilinear amp I use: 2000mW 2W 802.11 G / N High-Gain USB Wireless Long-Rang WiFi Network Adapter With Original Alfa Screw On Swivel 9dBi Rubber Antenna and Suction cup Window Mount dock FWIW, the 9db antenna (normally an "optional" purchase) is worth it.
