Seemed a bit thick & Red But Seems to Work Very Well in a BMW R1200GSA
A long time ADV rider friend told me to try Motul Ester based synthetic in my BMW R1200GSA (motor, trans and rearend) - I did and was pleasantly surprised at how much better the bike purred to life, how much smoother it felt, how better it shifted with or without the clutch (trans oil). I will of course want to see how long it lasts before film and shear levels begin to break down but like most Ester based lubricants, this will likely perform very well, giving me another 100,000 miles on this GSA... Yeah, that's a lot for a motorcycle!

Motul Makes Excellent Lubricants
Switched to this oil (Grp V ester based) for recent oil change after having run a full grp IV PAO oil in my motorcycle that calls for 10W60 JASO MA oil. Bike config is dry clutch and engine oil is isolated from 6-speed gearbox oil i.e. it's not a wet clutch setup where the oil has to be jack-of-all-trades and get sheared to death by the gears yet still lubricate a high revving engine (1200cc shaft drive bike). Even so, the owner manual calls for JASO MA rated oil so that's what it gets and has always gotten.

Top of the field quality
Motul always has been my preferred oil for my motorcycles. When it follows other brands, the bikes seem to shift better. Oil is very subjective, but I'm hooked on Motul

Excellent oil, good price, awesome bottle design!
This is a good deal for some high quality oil. Mine came in 4 individual 1 litre bottles. These bottles have their own spout that is stored inside the bottle (see pictures) which means you can (carefully) get oil into your bike without using a funnel. The red color of the oil also is a cool feature. In theory this should make it easier to tell the change in color as the oil picks up dirt in the engine.
