I do a lot of riding in the dark and I need a light that has good battery life and a strong beam. I would say this light is not great, but considering the low price, it's an okay value. I get about three hours on the medium setting. High works for maybe 1.5 hours. The beam is not at powerful as I hoped. My Cateye Volt 300 lumen is better in terms of intensity and the distance the beam projects. That's based on a night ride where I used both lights at same time, then turned one off and then the other so I could compare directly. If you are a serious cyclist I would spend more on a better light. But for casual riding or a commuter on a budget it's not a bad value.
