Some great recipes, but not true Southwest
All of the recipes sound really good and the two I made were wonderful. That being said, I was hoping for a book of recipes true to the Southwest, and although many of the recipes use native spices and chilis there are WAY too many recipes with ingredients no one in the early days of the southwest ever heard of. Pasta? Fresh tuna? Italian Focacaia bread? Tofu, more Tofu. . .? If you want an eclectic book of some great recipes, this will be for you, but I was really disappointed to find so many ingredients more suited to the West Coast.

Healthy recipes
Good book with healthy interesting recipes. I am an avid cook and don't mind spending time in he kitchen but this book has a lot of recipes that have a HUGE list of ingredients. I'm retired and have the time but I think it's a bit overkill. Not sure the recipes need to be so long to get the result for something as simple as southwestern food. Reminds me a bit of vegetarian cook books from 20 years ago. Such a long list of ingredients turned you off. That being said I did make a few things out of the book. Definitely healthy and good.I just did not find as many things as. Had anticipated

Most Fun Cookbook in my Kitchen
Cooking recipes out of this book constantly impress's! I purchased this book after a friend recomended it highly. I have since gifted 5 of them to family and friends and all have come back to me telling me that they also have enjoyed these recipes! I found that most importantly I can make healthy food that is still over the top delicious. I really enjoy entertaining and this is my go to book for showing off!

Cookbook that is special
I ordered this cookbook as a special gift for a friend who is into Southwest cooking. But upon receipt of book, I decided this was something I had to have and kept it for myself. I have been thoroughly enjoying all the recipes and have experimented with quite a few. It is a wonderful cookbook filled with some great, healthful ideas.

just ok
This has few interesting recipes, but seem complicated. Others are too obvious. It is also not that healthy. Soy/Tufu is not healthy and many of the recipes call for it.

Pretty good recipes
Pretty good recipes, did not have as much variety as I was hoping inside, but a lot of good ideas to start with your own recipes.

My friend is very happy with the book.
Purchased for Christmas for a very good friend and a very good cook who likes to try different things. He is very happy with it and has used it several times since then. Arrived very timely and was packaged well.

Not Your Mother's Cookbook!!!
Flavors of the Southwest! The recipes make everything taste just a bit fresher, more vibrant. I'm incorporating some new spices and flavors into my kitchen based on this very informative book. I positively recommend it.
