Smelling good!
Iโve tried a lot of natural products over the years, and Sensitive Planet Scent of Samadhi Powder truly stands out. The scent is warm, earthy, and calming, with a beautiful blend of sandalwood, tulsi, rose, and clove that feels both refreshing and grounding. Itโs subtle enough for everyday use but unique enough to get compliments. What I appreciate most is that itโs all-natural and gentle on the skin. It works wonderfully as a deodorant while also doubling as a personal fragrance, which makes it incredibly versatile. The powder texture is smooth, easy to apply, and keeps me feeling fresh throughout the day without any harsh chemicals or synthetic perfumes. The 2 oz jar lasts a surprisingly long time since a little goes a long way. If youโre looking for a clean, natural alternative to conventional deodorants with an elegant, holistic scent, this is absolutely worth trying.

all pros, no cons
let's discuss what this product can do---what it is intended and stated to do---first of all... this is a concentrated deodorant powder composed of natural scented materials. it is NOT, and never was stated to be, an anti-perspirant, so it's silly to be cross with it for not stopping perspiration. its purpose is to keep you smelling pleasant, which it does for me. i believe it does this in two ways: one, obviously, is through the scent that it provides, and the second way is (i suspect) by acting to reduce the bacterial count on skin that is ultimately responsible for body odour. (it's not sweat that smells bad so much as sweat and excreted by-products of diet and normal metabolic processes combining with surface skin bacteria to smell "off" or unpleasant...) this second action is presumably due to the natural bacteria-inhibiting properties of the herbs and woods that comprise this powder, and not to synthetic anti-bacterial agents such as are used in common deodorants and anti-perspirants. for me, even on hot days and under sweaty conditions (anxiety, yoga class, etc), this stuff does work. i sweat, but i never smell unwashed or funky. instead there is a constant but not obtrusive pleasant scent of this product, which i would describe as faintly floral-herbal-woody in nature. i do find it somewhat relaxing in effect. some have pointed out that it could compete with wearing perfume, and that is somewhat true. i don't find it a dealbreaker, and i will often apply a small spritz of whatever perfume i am wearing just below the armpits so it has a chance to blend with the scent of samadhi powder somewhat, and that seems to help. sensitivity to chemicals and even to many natural deodorant ingredients is a major problem for me, which is how i came to try this product. i can't even use baking soda, or anything containing it, without getting horrible rashes and broken skin that takes days to heal. and nothing else i've bought or concocted myself works for me as well as this little jar o' powder does, and it has not given me a rash or any side effects ever. i have tried it alone, and also applied it over a thin layer of milk of magnesia spread over the armpit skin, which is my only other go-to deodorant option. i think the combination works really well, actually. to do this, buy basic unflavoured or ordinary mint flavoured milk of magnesia from the tummy remedies section of a store. (i transfer half a bottle at a time to a short, wide-mouth, screw-top canning jar for ease of application.) dip a finger or two into the jar of milk of magnesia, spread around pits, allow to dry. then take the merest dab of scent of samadhi---seriously, just a tiny smear across the fingertip---and apply to each armpit, rubbing in gently to distribute fairly well. that's it! i generally don't need to reapply at all until the next day and/or shower...but if i do feel less than fresh (after a long day walking around in the heat or overnight flight, etc), just a wee dab again of the powder takes care of it, far more effectively than any conventional or alternative deodorants ever have. and being a powder, one can keep it at hand in a bag as it's not subject to the liquids screening for flying. i'm on my second jar of this stuff, and it's been game-changing for me. for those who stated that they believe it to be synthetic, rather than all-natural as it claims, i can only say that i am very sensitive to synthetic aroma chemicals, reacting with skin rashes, migraines, and asthma to them in even small amounts, and nothing about scent of samadhi has triggered any reactions. i suspect that getting it on the lips or tongue would, as one person reported, cause some burning---but i attribute that to the powdered cloves in it. quite natural, harmless, and to be expected from cloves. for me, at least, it has never caused any burning on the skin used as directed. individual mileage may vary, for anything, as we all have unique and ever-changing biochemistry. this product has worked extremely well for me when nothing else does, with no negative side effects. it has not stained any of my white shirts, although i did wonder if it might. if you are very pale, as i am, or very dark instead, it may show as a slightly tan colour when first applied; not using too much product and gently rubbing it around well generally solves this, as it blends in well after that. i truly cannot think of any other potential problems with it. i think it is perfectly unisex, and it seems inoffensive to others; if they notice a scent at all, it is complimented. i find it quick and easy to use; once familiar with it, it's no harder than using roll-on or stick deodorants. i will buy it as long as it is available, and try to formulate my own version at home should it ever go out of stock!

It works day AND night and smells delicious. It feels like part of your body!
Even though I recently discovered another brand, not an easy task, I think the world of this delicious, aromatic, fresh, and smooth all-natural deodorant! It works! I'll even give a little insight into how I use it. I don't just use it during the day, so soft, so fresh and long-lasting, but I use it at night when I sweat the most! I have compared with and without, and it's mind-blowing. I can now feel and smell fresh when I wake up. Now that's a win! Thank you!

The best natural deodorant - plus a tip how to use!
The owner of the yoga studio I work for shared this with me after a class. How she rubs it on her arms, chest, underarms after classes. Iโve struggled w natural deodorants that truly donโt work. This smells wonderful plus works. I keep it in my gym bag. Easy to travel with. TIP: At home place a few drops of oil (coconut or sesame oil) into the powder to make a paste for your underarms. You donโt lose the powder when you rub your hands together to put the powder on your armpits. Game changer. Iโve used this deodorant for two years now and will for many more. It lasts a long time so imo worth the $. No irritation, even after shaving, as I have sensitive skin. No stickiness.

Eau de Hippie! Delicious to me but caution to those with scent sensitivity!
When I use this, I smell like an incense shop! One TINY pinch goes a long way and fills the room with a potent scent that I personally find delicious. I love it, but I definitely can see why it isn't for everyone. I am sensitive to strong smells, so I don't think I could use this on days when I'm feeling extra sensitive or when I'm going to be in a room with people who are sensitive to smells. I have yet to wear it when I'm sweating much (it's winter now), so I can't speak to it's deodorant effectiveness yet. But as a perfume, it is lovey. Seriously - a pinch the size if a BB rubbed between the palms and then on the underarms is all you need initially. Not sure if more is needed on hairy underarms (I have no hair) but more product might be overwhelmingly perfume-y.

Heavenly scent
The essential oil combination in this scented dust is gorgeous. I rub a few grains into my hair, and the perfume stays with me for several hours. I also bought the incense sticks, but wasn't so impressed with them. I thought they would be much stronger.

A beautiful, natural scent
This was a purchase for my wife. I love this scent - it has a delicate, beautiful aroma that is alluring and multi-faceted. It was the scent that my wife wore on our first date over 12 years ago, so it has a very special place in my heart.
