Air conditioning
This unit is great. I didn't find it crazy noisy. Would suggest going for next size up when you calculate room size. It has been a little piece of heaven on a hot day. Think next time I would go for the WiFi version so I can operate while away from home. All in all a neat unit.

Excellent Quality
Excellent product, can be a little bit noisy but to be expected. Certainly cools my room down in no time.Down side is finding a window kit for outward opening windows

Item as described
The item is exactly as described, set up and instructions easy. I personally use this for only 10- 15 mins on the lower cool setting, then switch off until it is needed again. I have found it more effective than description, I have a very small house but it cools the whole downstairs easily ( not just the room which it is in). I have found it good value for money and I am very happy with its performance.

Worked for a couple of weeks, but now struggles to keep room cool (below 26.0°C)
Well for the price of this AC Unit you should be getting a lot better product, sadly it seems that you are just paying for the name. The unit worked great when we it was very hot the other week right up to today, yet when its just like 29°C outside its failing to cool lower that 26.0°C when the unit is set to (25.0°C) there is no way that you can even sleep with this in your room, Compressor is so loud and the unit as a whole vibrates so loud too.Its that loud you cannot do calls, use computer, watch tv due to its too loud and over powers them.I did have a very bad feeling when I saw the small sized box when it arrived, but I thought, its Daewoo a known brand and never really had issues with that brand. Boy was I wrong.Daewoo if you are reading this review, you should be using a Digital Inverter Compressor, they are a lot less noisy, they have a lot less wear and tear on the compressor, due to they can be run at a lower speed when at the required temps and then speed up when cooler air is needed. Install dampeners on the Compressor mountings. Use a filter that is not 3D Printed (side filter looks so cheap) due to the one in the unit is a pile of rubbish.Issues with this product.• Compressor too noisy when running.• No rubber suppression on the Compressor fixings, so when its running it is very loud.• Side filter (looks 3D Printed and CHEAP) vibrates on the side of the unit very loud.• Dehumidifier feature does absolutely nothing to the humidity, had it on for like 5 hours and it changed nothing, in fact it went up.• Fails to now reduce temps below 26°C (unit set to 25.0°C) in the rated size room either on Low or High Fan Speeds, had it on all day (12 hours) and still fails to get to 25°C• When it did work it took like 8 hours to reduce the temps in the room from 27.6°C to 25.0°C, sadly it's now not even doing that.Maybe its just too hot for it to cool down the room, if it starts to work in the future I will update this review. My advice is only buy this product if your room is half the size it says its ideal for due to this unit cannot cool a 12M x 12M room, so if your room is lager or near the max supported size then get either a different product or next larger version.*** Update 1 ***I just upgraded to the 9,000 version of this product and its the exact same issue, struggles to cool an average bedroom lower than 25°C when unit set to 22°C.*** Update 2 ***Updated review due to cannot cool my room even though freezing cold air does come out of the unit, like tonight 19th - 20th July 2024 my room is stuck at 27.1°C and the AC Unit was set to 20°C this brand of AC Units are rubbish, go look elsewhere.

Good air con, simple but small
This 5000 btu unit does the job but don't expect it to cover more than one medium size room, still a good investment to keep my work space cool in this sporadic british summer weather.Rather low cost to keep running also, worked out to be around £2 for a whole day of cooling with a few moments where I just ran it in fan mode between cool downs. For the current asking price of sub £200 it's a nice low end option but if you need one to cool a wide area or more than a bedroom size space buy a more powerful air con unit closer to 9000 btu and above.

Very Happy - Extremely Surprised
I don’t normally leave reviews, but found them helpful when I was looking for an air con unit for summer, so hopefully this might help others.I was expecting another hot June, so bought this a few months before. Today is the first time using it.After a stupidly hot sweaty night with not great sleep, now was the time for me to use it.Quite simply…..it’s excellent. My master bedroom was unbearably hot, so we put this in about 6PM and let it run for a few hours with the door closed.Expecting to be disappointed at 9PM when I cracked the door open, boy were my 9 year old and I surprised. The room was like a fridge! The temperature was so cool, and it took the unbearable temperature right down to comfort level. (Which for me is freezing)We have windows where they hinge from the top outwards, but the hose was plenty long enough to leave the unit on the floor, and we put the hose behind the curtains, out the window. No issues at all.Obviously, noise is subjective, but personally, I could easily sleep with this machine pounding at full tilt! However, as I had the wife and kid wanting to sleep in the room (as it was so cool), I turned it off, but the room kept cool all night anyway. My house is a pretty standard 3 bed semi built in the 70s. So far…I have not had to empty it at all after many hours of use.I would suggest that if you buy this unit, leave it stood upright, switched off for a good 24 hours before using it to let the gas settle, as it would have been bounced around in the back of an Amazon van no doubt.Would I buy it again? Hell yes….without a doubt.
