Canned Heat used their success to persuade their record company to allow them to make this album where essentially they become Hooker's backing band. The tracks that Hooker recorded with just Alan Wilson accompanying him are some of the best Hooker ever recorded. An essential purchase for any John Lee Hooker fan!

Superb blues album. Great tracks, well produced sound. Found this album by accident and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The Late Great John Lee Hooker with the inimitable Canned Heat.
This must be one of the best collaborations between a bluesman of the older school and one of the new bands of the sixties/ seventies. John Lee Hooker was a very forward looking artist and it shows up here. Terrific Album.
