I recently purchased this sealing ring as a replacement for my 6-quart Instant Pot, and I couldn’t be happier! It fits perfectly, just like the original ring that came with the unit. It work perfect for my instant pot

It fit perfectly. The note in the packaging was friendly regarding directions to soak in warm water if it didn’t fit.

The molded silicon o-ring on Instant Pots isn't just a simple round o-ring, it's a molded shape with two "lips" that form the seal between the inner pot and the lid.Our wonderful pet cockatoos--which are like grandchildren to us--are also ABSOLUTE MONSTERS, so very destructive!TLDR; one of them loves chewing silicon and he removed part of the lip.The Instant Pot wouldn't seal.These replacements slip right in in place of the originals.Very easy to mount; took about ten seconds to figure it out and put it in place, and I was up to pressure a few minutes later.I did soak them in very hot water after taking them from the package; the instructions say to use boiling water to remove any kinks, folds, or dents from shipping.Mine arrived almost perfect but I wanted to wash them anyway, so I put them in a bowl of hot soapy water before using them.I'm sure they'll last years....or until the next time I'm dumb enough to leave the pot face-up and let my cockatoos chew it!

For reference: we have a 6 qt Yedi Intant Pot purchased in 2017.There are some reviews where fit has bad fit/squealing/leaks. I don't doubt those reviews since the fit has to be very good since all these instant pots work by building up tremendous pressure.We have had none of these problems, and I was actually pleasantly surprised how much more quickly ours got up to pressure and temperature with all new rubber seals. Ours must have been gradually getting slower with weekly use since purchase in 2017.Other reviews have also said they smell bad - which would not only be bad but potentially affect food flavor. Again - no problem with ours although I did thoroughly wash them before use.My only criticism is our arrived folded. Seeing that I was sure they would not seal but luckily they have. Why risk causing a customer complaint by folding them, though? Ship them flat - just as they came out of the mold.

Easy to install and clean, and perfectly fit our Instant Pot. Our old one was cracked and wasn't allowing the Instant Pot to pressurize properly; this fixed that problem and it now cooks perfectly!

I thought there was something wrong with my Instant Pot until I thought to thy replacing the seal in the lid. This seal worked beautifully! It was a tight fit with no hissing like I had with the worn out ring. It made a difference in the cooking and timing. If you’re having a problem with your pot, please try these rings before you do anything else. You will notice a difference in the cooking right away. Good luck!

My pot wasn’t sealing properly, leaving liquid coming out in the cooking process. I also had to push down the lid to help it seal. After getting this, I realized my old seal was soft and just slightly larger than the original size. Popped this on and cooked a pot roast with no issue. Works like factory original!
