First ordered the 28x30 but it was too loose. Returned that size and ordered the 26x30 and it fits like a dream. Snug but not too tight. The length is good and I really like that I can cinch the bottoms. It's a lightweight material while also feeling sturdy. I plan to use mine for hiking, especially in hot climates. I'll also add that my hubby is a hiking guru and said he really liked them. For any hikers interested, the 28x30 weighs 10.5 oz., and the 26x30 weighs 9.8 oz. I’m 5’7, 28” waist, normally wear a US 4-6 and ordered 28x32L. The material is lightweight and has stretch, so it was perfect for riding a 4-wheeler even when it was 80’s and humid. The material cleans and dries quickly, and held up to brush that hit it along the trails. These also have convenient pockets, there’s one on the leg that fits an iPhone while keeping it out of the way. The seams are not taped/sealed. So rain water seeped in onto base layers/underclothing while on our rainy trip to Alaska. I usually wear a size 8 pants, hips= 38" waist=32" The Medium sized were too small to be able to wear base layers under so I exchanged for a size large, which had room to spare. I did have to alter the waist band with elastic so that they wouldn't fall off.
