Amazing tool with "rotating pins" works well for our golden!
[Picture of our golden's back leg/hind quarters to compare left side after one session with this tool.] Holy smokies, this Furminator tool is AMAZING! We had the old version with the flat, close-in pins (for long-haired dogs), and while it worked, our dog wanted nothing to do with it. I broke this out of the packaging, let him sniff it, went to work on his coat, and was immediately impressed by how well this worked--without needing to add pressure or tug at tangles! *PROS: - Easy to use (again, without adding pressure) - The "rotating" pins really seemed to help move tool smoothly through the coat (no catching and pulling hair to cause discomfort) - Works on mats and smaller tangles with little effort (might have to start at the bottom for the bigger ones) - Pins are long enough to get through our golden's coat and massage his skin - Rounded pin tips prevented discomfort from scrapes and scratches - One tool does it all for us! Brushing, massage, deshedding... *BONUS: He was wagging his tail and staying still while I went to work, even when I attacked his neck/chest beard and ears! I collected handful after handful of undercoat after what I considered a long and successful brushing just 2-3 days earlier. *CON: The tool helped loosen the hair so well that small clumps of undercoat would literally fly into the air (rather than bunch up *on him* at the end of my stroke, as happened when using other brushes/combs). I think I got even more hair on me than usual (and my black pants--because aren't goldens only supposed to be brushed when you're wearing dark colors? 😜), but I'm okay with this. What we tried before: - wire slicker brush: Worked well, especially with any matted hair, but he really didn't like the wire bristles. Great with tangles, but I'd have to be really careful not to apply too much pressure or I could scratch or puncture him (or myself). - Furminator rake: With this tool (got one specifically for long-haired dogs), I never really got why Furminator was so positively regarded. For the most part it just semed to catch and *pull* at his hair (the pins were so closely set!). I had to apply extra pressure to get to the undercoat, which doggo didn't like (it could/would scrape his skin), but it got the job done. Overall it was too cumbersome to use regularly, but I kept it in an attempt to be a responsible golden retriever dog owner (even if I didn't use it). - combo plastic bristle + pin brush: This was our go-to tool (until now, heh heh heh!). Our doggo liked/tolerated this one well. Any increased pressure made the pins massage his skin harder (without causing discomfort), while the bristles caught the loose hairs/undercoat. Unfortunately, it did NOT do well with mats or any small knots/tangles, so I'd break out the wire slicker (above) for those sessions.

So Amazing FURminator Dog Tool
I am loving how well this tool is taking the loose hair from my dog's coat as I use it. This tool is removing so much more than my old tool. The size is perfect too. It isn't small for my large dog and it isn't too large where I couldn't control using this tool. This tool was nicely packaged. It arrived quickly and as scheduled, promised.

furminator - good quality dog brush
A very good product for a dog that hair mates. A neighbor suggested. Worked better than any other device we have tried on our Shih Tzu

Bent teeth right out of the box, but works quite well!
Just received today, and was surprised to see the teeth bent or crooked right out of the box, brand new. I've used traditional Furminators in the past without issue, but needed this type for our 8 pound Pomsky (Pomeranian Husky mix). She has a super plush, long, THICK coat (like you'd expect from a Husky or Pom!) and looks like a tiny Husky. Shedding season came early this year (late July) and it's all undercoat!!! It's her first shed, so I'm hoping it won't be so severe once she's 2+ years old, but we'll see. My expertly educated cousin who has a Husky Malamute mix recommended this type of rake and said NEVER to use a traditional Furminator on a Husky type coat or any dog with a thick undercoat or plush coat, because it cuts the guard hairs, which don't grow back so quickly or easily! While the traditional Furminator works on my traditional/spaniel coated Pekingese (she doesn't have the show type coat), and my adult daughter's Boxer Pit mix (super short coat), it will never be used on my other kids Pomsky! It works very well! First pic is bent teeth! See my second pic for undercoat removal (after only a minute or two of brushing) of the Pomsky!

Worked a charm on my German Shepherd, who is currently blowing her undercoat!
This brush works INCREDIBLY well on my currently raggedy German Shepherd! She has been blowing her undercoat, and looks an absolute hot mess, with large tufts of fur loosening up and showing all over her body (worst around her back legs, booty, and neck ruff area). She also, for whatever reason, is a total weirdo about me doing anything to try to help her through this process. If you grab a tuft, she'll growl and also run away, as though it hurts her. or like you're stealing her most precious resources! I KNOW that just pulling out the tufts by hand can't actually hurt her. They're sticking out farther than the rest of her coat because they've already been shed, and just have difficulty falling completely away because they get tangled up with the rest of her coat. I've purchased the much more expensive Furminator brush in the past, which she HATED. There has been a bit of a revolving line of various brush types that have been tried and ultimately failed in our household. Saddle brushes, curry brushes, self-cleaning brushes, undercoat rakes, etc. etc. They have been either ineffective, or just difficult to use, because she seems to hate the feel of them and tries to struggle away. This brush was so cheaply priced that I was willing to at least give it a shot. When I first opened up the packaging, my other dog happened to be closest to me so I swiped down his back just for giggles. I was AMAZED at how much hair came off on that one swipe! He also has an undercoat, but his hair overall is much shorter, so it's not nearly as obvious when he is blowing it. This was a great unexpected bonus, because some of the heavy duty brushes designed for undercoat grooming seem to be uncomfortable for him - the metal is sharp and he doesn't have a big poufy coat to cushion it at all. Anyway, back to the German Shepherd. I brushed her down for maybe 10-15 minutes, focusing harder on the areas where she had the most obvious shedding. No exaggeration - I filled a Walmart bag with floof in short order! She tolerated the brushing, and only growled/groaned a couple of times when I worked on some tangled areas. This was the most painless de-shedding session that we have ever done with her, and definitely also the easiest and most effective as well! Given a few more days of 10-15 minute sessions, I think she'll be pretty much good to go! Apologies for the grody picture but I wanted y'all to see that, no exaggeration, I really did fill an entire shopping bag in just a few short minutes of brushing her out!

Works great on wolves!
This is the best brush I've used for double coats during shedding season. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold for long periods of time and it's gentle on them too. They usually fall asleep while I'm brushing them!

Great choice for grooming my husky.
Works great for grooming my Siberian. Works well for my Lab mix. Gets rid of those loose puffs that stick out. It does pull a bit, so we have to do short grooming sessions.

. Recomendo esta- veja as fotos!

Very useful and easy to use on a daily basis. Does the job neatly and quickly.
We have a husky and pet hair is a constant topic of conversation at home! I am always on the lookout for grooming tools that can help us manage our pet's shedding in any way imaginable! I've been hesitant about buying anything FURminator related, because the price tag associated with their products is unappealing, considering there are other grooming brushes available at a lower cost. However, I have had this for a few weeks now and having tried and tested it daily, I can safely say that it lives up to its reputation and my expectations. Its features make it a valuable tool for dealing with shedding issues on a daily basis. My husky DOES NOT LIKE TO BE GROOMED and with this brush (when used without pressure) he literally lies down for the entire time it takes me to finish removing excess fur! I can't really feedback that it reduces shedding as I've not experiences that benefit yet, however I would still recommend this product based on it's ease of use and efficacy. Something to look out for: It may not be suitable for all coat types; it requires cautious use because I found that excessive pressure during grooming caused discomfort to my dog. All in all, I would recommend this product to other owners of dogs with undercoats or long fur in general and dogs that tend to have loose hair. Also, the loose hair remains attached to the brush, which is another feature that I really like rather than it flying everywhere as I've sometimes found while using other tools.
