One thing that is always a problem for athletic shorts is they tend to show off the sweet potato a bit much (if you know what I mean). I'm not trying to do that when I'm trying to play sports or workout. I bought these and a pair of compression pants to give them a try.I was looking for something that felt like bike shorts without the pad.I'm 5'9" @ 220lbs and I got an XL. I'd say they're about a medium compression. Bike shorts tend to be cut a little large and rely on harder to stretch fabric for their compression, these seem to take much less effort to stretch and rely on being cut tighter for their compression. I prefer the bike shorts way of doing it, but this is really a nit-pick. That said, they are quite comfortable. The length is good ending ~2.5 inches above my knee. The flatlock seems keep them from digging in.My only real complaint is that while the fit everywhere else, I could use a little more room in the butt, they seem to want to ride lower in the back than the front. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Longer than most other compression shorts *by E***M on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2019* These compression shorts are HEAVY weight wise, but once you get them on you realize these will definitely keep you cool due to the material. I wore them the other day working out and the sweat just evaporates off of them and really helps with avoiding "Swass". I like that they are longer than most other compression shorts out there.Note: some people said to order up a size and I will suggest against doing that. I ordered up to a 2XL even though I wear XL in all my other UA boxer jocks and they fit a little looser than they should.
