These are authentic NikonUSA binocular harnesses. Sold & shipped by Amazon. Package includes an over the shoulders harness and a packet of split rings. The harness is adjustable for chest size (I wear 46-48 jacket & it feels snug with straps at max length). It is also adjustable for length and I feel it has plenty of flexibility there. I recommend letting the straps all the way out and then adjusting for comfort. The material is also stretchable . The split rings were tight, so I used a small flathead screwdriver to pry them open & place onto the binoculars. The quick clips go on easily but require effort to unhook which means good security. I also added my neck strap back for convenience of my uses. The overall quality seems good. My only concern would be the durability of the quick clips. If they break, I’ll simply remove them & add a small D-ring.

I bought my first Nikon Prostaff Binocular harness in 2006 through Amazon and have used it extensively (hundreds of hours in the past 7 years) with Nikon Monarch 10 x 42 (3 years) and Nikon MonarchX 10.5 x 45 (last four years) binoculars, as well as Nikon DSLR cameras with moderately large (300 mm) telephoto lens attached. The harness has worked extremely well, keeping my expensive optics near my chest for hands-free, and swing free, carrying. This is especially important when moving through uneven terrain, where bending over and climbing would otherwise cause my binoculars to swing down and away from me, possibly catching branches or hitting the ground. It also is much more comfortable on your back than a neck strap, if you are going to be wearing your binoculars for extended periods (I sometimes wear them for 6-8 hrs/day).After all that use, the elastic is now beginning to stretch and I've finally started to shorten the straps to compensate. I suspect this will continue to be an issue and eventually they will be less functional. Still, seven years of heavy use is pretty good, and I've just ordered another one, figuring I can still use the old one as a dedicated harness for my camera.I have one minor issue to note. The metal rings that you put on your binoculars for attachment to the plastic harness clips may squeak a bit as you are walking. A very slight application of silicon or teflon lubricant will alleviate the problem for a while, so keep this in mind if stealth is important.All in all, I've been very happy with these and couldn't imagine going back to a regular neck strap. I have no way to compare to other harness systems, as this is all I've ever needed or used.A quick update having just received my new harness. I differs in two ways.First, the attachments for your binoculars are now leather loops, rather than metal rings. I will try to post a couple pictures. This should reduce the squeaking I mentioned above, but I wonder about durability. There were four of them included and I will toss the metal rings into my binocular case as a back up.Also, the back "spreader" is black, with a white "Nikon" logo (as shown in the item image), rather than the black on yellow pattern of the original set.

This product is one of the best things that ever happened to me! A Naturalist at one of our State Parks told me about it. I like to go birding, and that includes my own backyard so I have my binoculars out every day. With this harness, I can wear them while I'm doing other things and my binoculars stay out of the way; when I need to suddenly view a bird, poof, my binoculars are right there and ready to go! I definitely recommend these, and especially to ladies. I am an older, smaller, weaker person with not a lot of strength in my shoulders. This harness is great for making my fairly heavy binoculars feel weightless! I've worn my binoculars with this harness for several hours at a time with no stress to my shoulders or back. The harness was extremely to adjust, and is easy to put on. I plan to try it with my heavy camera, too, one of these days.

As you would expect from Nikon, a harness that is comfortable and functions like it says. I agree with some other reviews and that the attachment to your binoculars is a bit tricky but not impossible. Great product at a great price.

I bought this as a Warehouse deal and as reported previously, no instructions. But, looking at the pieces that came with it, I was able to figure it out. Mine did come with 4 leather attachment straps: Some reviewers had reported not getting these so maybe Nikon just started throwing in extras recently.Set up is pretty easy:(Steps one and two are in the photos off the binoculars for demonstration only, the straps need to be threaded through the binoculars eyelets to be performed correctly)1) thread leather strap through attachment point on the binoculars2) fold strap upon itself and push hole end through slit end3) set your binoculars down on the objective lenses with the top facing away from you4) orient harness netween you and the binoculars so that the back triangular piece is closest to you and the Nikon logo is not upside down5) the left and right straps should not be crossed and the Nikon logos will both be facing outward6) attach "quick release" to the appropriate side of the binoculars via the previously installed leather strapTo wear, it's like putting on a t-shirt:1) pick up the harness by the back triangular Nikon logo2) slide one arm between the upper and lower strap on that side3) slide you other arm through the opposing side's straps in the same manner(The triangular patch should now be under you chin)4) grab the triangular, Nikon patch and pick it up and over your head and rest it between you shoulders-There appears to be enough adjustment in the straps: I'm 6'1" and they fit me perfect out of the box, my son is 4'11" and they hung by his belt without any adjustment.-Although advertised as quick release, the only quick feature is the attachment latch that connects to the leather straps: quicker than having to unthread the original binocular strap, I'm not sure I would qualify these as quick release, but otherwise this harness is well made and appears to be good quality!-I didn't give 5 stars only because of the quick release feature: I wish there had been a backpack style quick release, but that would have added length to the non-adjustable portion of the harness.

The leather loops are a joke, they tear in half after about 2 seconds. Using those loops at all defeats the purpose of "quick release" since it takes a lot of effort to get them on and off the harness clips.Also, this harness does not fit the Nikon Prostaff P7 - the harness clips are too big, and the leather loops are too big to fit through the available slots on that model.

お散歩野鳥観察用で10倍30mmにつけてます。重く感じないし手がフリーになるし胸の前で弾みません。又、カメラと双眼鏡を持ち替える時に肩掛けしたりバッグに入れたり面倒だったのですがコレを使ったら双眼鏡がフリーになり超楽ちんです。バンドの長さ調整を上手くする必要があるので家で使いやす様に合わせておくと良いです。希望としては双眼鏡との連結がもっと簡単に出来る様になれば、保管時にバンドを外しておけるので満点です。

双眼鏡に標準で付属するストラップは例外なく首に負担をかけますが、このストラップを一度使いだすと元の標準ストラップには戻せません。それ位双眼鏡の携行が楽になります。少々高額に思えますが使って後悔することはないと思います。但し双眼鏡とストラップを繋ぐ革製の部品がちょっと頼りないので長期間使用して大丈夫かしら（？）と不安になるところはあります。
