FEL-PRO VS 12869 T Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set for Chevrolet Camaro

Replaced the valve cover gaskets on my 82 Corvette with these. They worked great. No leaks so far. It was a chore to get all of the stuff out of the way to get the valve covers off. I recommended replacing the valve cover bolts with studs to make it easier to install the gaskets. The studs will hold the gaskets in place so you can put the valve covers back on. No adhesive necessary. These gaskets are a great improvement from the original cork gaskets. Great material and design.

These are very nice sbc 350 valve cover gaskets nice rubber. Has metal parts in it for bolt holes so u cant over tighten also. Highly recommend.

These are great gaskets. I like the metal the screws go through so you don't over tighten the gasket and push it out creating a leak. They fit perfectly on the 283 ci. That is in my '63 c10. They are a thick rubber with a metal core so they keep their shape well. The functionality of this gasket being reusable is amazing because I initially put on one valve cover backwards. Being able to remove the valve cover and reinstall it without the gasket ripping or deforming is a great quality.

Worked fine on my chevy 350 but had to cut off 2 tabs that interfered with my installation. So far no leaks but did have to use some rtv on the valve cover side to keep it in place.

Excellent replacement for the OE cork gaskets in 78 Vette. Metal coated in rubber, with three gasket fins, are high quality. No gasket sealer needed. Gasket design also eliminates the possibility of cracking the filter from over tightening. While not needed on the aluminum valve covers on the Vette, the metal washer type extensions will benefit on the flat valve covers found in many small blocks.

Son is rebuilding a square body and the valve covers were leaking oil. These easily fixed the issue. The old ones were cork. Would buy these again if he builds another square body.

You dont need these gaskets on a 305 GM . The GM blogs tell you to just use a good sealer on the cover and put it on However these are good gaskets and include the bolt plates.

If you don’t want to use sealant or glue this is the best gasket. I just replaced the set I installed 9 years ago because they were getting hard and starting to weep. Not bad!

I couldn’t get these gaskets to seal on my 350 Chevy with aluminum valve covers. Kept changing things around but no luck. My previous rubber gaskets worked great but I thought I would take it to the next level. I didn’t work!
