Great clamping force, great functionality, super sturdy, great grip

It was such a good value for the set that I don't mind that I have never used the smaller clamps. But the bigger clamps have been used on every fastening/building project I've had. They fit on the door frame molding I did, which was so helpful. Also good for sawing projects. They're sturdy and easy to use. Since they are metal and plastic I could see them breaking if you applied too much force to them, but it hasn't happened to me despite the heavy use.

The 4 larger clamps are awesome, the 2 small clamps are almost too small for me comfortably use. The only time I grab them is if I need a low profile clamp or I'm crossing them in a very tight opening.

Works well, but does feel a little light at times. But a great addition to any DIYers tool kit.

I probably have seventy clamps of various styles from multiple manufacturers, most of which are heavier duty than these. I already had a set of these exact same clamps, as well as several other Irwin clamps of the larger sizes, and needed another set of these to clamp multiple access panel frames to my ceiling's drywall without crushing it. I was looking for just some of the smaller 6" clamps, but this set was such a great deal that I basically got over half of the included set for free (vs purchased individually). These work great for what they're supposed to be. They're not made for massive clamping pressure; instead, they're more to hold something in place pretty tightly, very quickly, with ease, and without damaging the clamped materials. In a lot of cases, these are all I ever need. In a few cases, I'll use these to get something set into place, and then I'll follow-up with a stronger clamp. Or, I'll use these to supplement the stronger clamps around borders, etc. I've been using these for years, and have never had any problems with any of them, so will definitely buy more when the time comes.

I've only had them a few days, but I feel they have already paid for themselves in ease of use. So far, I've only used them to clamp boards to a workbench for sawing. The one-handed release just makes it so much easier to work. I cannot attest to how much clamping power they have for gluing.As others have said, the one-handed ratchet clamps do not have much force and I have no use for them so far. The spring clamps may be useful, but note that it takes all my force to open one with one hand; on the good side, they will clamp small objects with decent force.All in all, I consider the set a good buy.Update, several days later: I have used the large clamps for gluing boards. They seem to have adequate strength for that.

So the plastic on the clamps Brock after having them for years. So I decided to replace them because these are very good clamps. And when these break I will buy more.They are good clamps
