Came in a tidy box with all parts wrapped.It is a nice sturdy holder compatible with the well known RAM X-Grip system (it's identical), and is made mainly from metal. The bare metal pieces appear to be stainless steel - which was unexpected, and the rest has a good coat of black paint, so seems durable too. It functions smoothly and can be locked solid, so performance should be good.It holds the phone securely via the prongs, but also comes with a silicone band for a secondary means of holding the phone. My only criticism is with this band - as it seems a little small and really needs to stretch to fit a modern smartphone (70x145mm) and so looks like it might eventually snap. Only the sturdiness could be a bit better. Mine always rotates 15% degrees back and forth around the phones base.
