I ordered this book because I always enjoyed looking for pictures in the clouds. Now that I have granddaughters I wanted to choose a book to be able to read to them about clouds. Lola not only inspires them to use their imagination now as they look at the clouds in the sky but they were able to experience this heartwarming story about Lola's imagination and the beautiful illustrations in this book! I definitely recommend this book to share with your children or grandchildren!

While I think Lola Shapes the Sky is a well-crafted, imaginative story, the best review I can offer is from the friend I gifted Lola for her two young grand-daughters. Today she shared, her seven year old grand-daughter called her last night for Mother’s Day and her May 12th birthday. She read Lola to her as a present to her Grammy. Wendy Greenley’s debut picture book is a special gift for children and a gift children can read to their loved one’s-what a joy!

Lola Shapes the Sky is a wonderful book for children and adults alike! I really enjoy reading this book with my daughter. As you read the book it encourages 'little readers' to follow their dreams and to always stay true to themselves and be proud of who they are. I feel this is a wonderful lesson to share with any child.

Lola will encourage the reader to imagine and dream while accepting uniqueness. The story is filled with inspiration that sparks a sense of wonder. I smiled while reading this treasure.

I loved the story of a cloud flying in the face of a thunder chorus of naysayers and using her imagination and ingenuity to express her uniqueness! My grandchildren loved it and they could identify with it because they love to “find” pictures and animals in the sky above them. Now they are looking for Lola!

I thought this book was imaginative, beautifully written and the illustrations are gorgeous. Bought as a present but wanted to keep it for myself!
