Premier Locking for Spare Tire

Let's face it, I'm not the most mechanically inclined human out there. Sure, I can take toast out of the toaster and plug in a lamp, but when it comes to super technical things like changing a lightbulb or assembling a sandwich, I am useless. So, when this heavy, bulky package arrived with several parts, let's just say I was rather nervous. To my utter delight, however, this montage of metal bits and bolts wasn't difficult to connect at all! I read the directions, did what they suggested, all by myself mind you, and...I did it! The rack slid easily into my Bronco's tail hitch portal, I loaded my Cannondale on it, secured with the rubber doohickies and--BAM! Soooo easy, and looks decent too. It will block out the rear camera in the Bronco but it clears the spare tire perfectly and (so far) has been super secure. Love it! Now if only I could figure out how to start my Bronco :/

This rack works great. It is sturdy and does not rattle around. It fits around the spare tire on the back of the Jeep with room to spare. It folds down easily so you can fully open the back of the Jeep. I have used it several times and it worked fine. I have only transported one bike on the rack so far. The security features which lock the bike to the hitch are really handy. I would buy this rack again and recommend it fully. It is even priced very well compared to some other racks.

Seems to be a solid rack but I just got it today. I bought this to replace a Thule Doubletrack 2 Bike 990XT because of growing family. I liked the fact that I was able to use a locking pin with a built-in security cable that locked into the hitch but I am unable to use on Allen Rack. It took more time to read the one page double sided instructions than it did to put it together and install. Assembly and installation should take about 5 to 10 minutes and mounting bicycles will vary. The locking mechanism is nifty because in helps to keep the mounting arm from wobbling but the other parts of the mount will have some wobble. So far putting the bikes on this rack is one heck of a tetris game, and if your mounting 4 mountain bikes its a pain because of the frame design. Additionally, you don't really need the Cross-Bar Adaptor for non-traditional bicycle frames, just take a good look how I secured my families bikes. I will update in a few weeks on the performance of this rack.

Easy assembly and install. Mounting bikes is easy and straightforward. Whole unit seems well made, but wobbly and loose. With one adult bike and two small bikes, everyone stays FAR away on the freeway.

I was pretty sure based on reviews that I would need a hitch extension to clear my 35” spare (Jeep JLU), but there was plenty of room. This bike rack is excellent quality, especially considering the price. I love that I can swing it down to open the tailgate. I originally looked for a swing away rack (for 3 bikes) that would allow me to keep the bikes mounted and still access the trunk, but the one I tried out was a piece of junk and 3x the price of this one. Very happy with this purchase! Easy to assemble and install. Very sturdy.

It was my first bike rack ever! So, naturally, I was a bit nervous to install it as I have bought many products throughout my life that promised the world and then didn't deliver. But this bike rack delivers on all fronts!!!!! It was super easy to unpack, easy to read the instructions, easy to put together, easy to install, and mostly super easy to figure out all the features it has. It took me about 15 minutes to install and another 5 minutes to load 2 bikes. I just bought a bike for our youngest that ended up not fitting on the rack. But luckily I had also purchased a tension bar cross-bar adapter (also sold by Allen) just in case we were to ever need to mount a step-through bike. But it works well for a kid's bike too. So, just make sure you purchase the right bike rack for the right hitch size and you're good to go! Thank you, Allen. This is a great rack that will be with us for a long time!

Absolutely amazing product! I have a HummerEV and I really needed a rack that will clear the spare tire. No problem at all. It couldn’t fit any better. It folds down so the gate can swing open with no problem. I don’t usually write reviews, but in this case I had to. Buy with confidence

Excellent bike rack. Fits great on Ford Bronco (2023). Easy to assemble. Great material quality. Good value. Blocks backup camera. When bicycle(s) are mounted on the bike rack, the backup senors are trigger and alarm goes off; simply disable on the screen to stop alarms.

Pro’s: - for the price, hard to beat - locking, - pre installed retracting pin to secure in hitch - absolutely no wobble when installed having the flared end that you tighten up - good padded bike frame pockets - super fast assembly - one lever to fold up the bike carry - one lever to fold down to open trunk - overall look and quality is great Highly recommend

it took a bit of practice to understand how to put it in and off the tow hitch, but after a few times practicing we now have the hang of it and it is easy to remove and put back on. We take it off after every use as we only need it once a week to carry our bikes to the track. We've had a max of 3 bikes on it so far and it feels totally stable and secure.

I instilled this on my 2011 jeep JKU, fits nicely folds out of the way to get in the tail gate when not in use, and easy to remove. Good clearance from the spare tire.

Excellent and strong Bike Carrier. Looks good on Prado with tyre behind.
