I ordered this set of switches for my Whirlpool microwave (Model WMH76719C‑2) after my wife noticed the interior light was intermittently failing for a couple of weeks. Eventually the light stopped working completely, and the microwave itself quit as well. That pointed to a door‑switch issue. I disassembled the microwave to access the switches and tested them with an ohm meter. They seemed to function, but I couldn’t tell whether there was a voltage drop under load. Given the microwave is 10 years old, I suspected the contacts had some carbon buildup. I also checked the internal fuse, which was still good. I’ve read that when the 3‑prong microswitch fails it often blows the fuse, so I was fortunate there. Since I already had everything apart, I decided to replace all three switches at once, if one was failing, the others likely weren’t far behind. This kit includes all three, and it’s important to note that each switch is different and must go in the correct position. The 3‑prong switch is obvious, but the two 2‑prong switches can be mixed up if you’re not paying attention. The tab locations make it easy to match them before removing the originals. The new switches fit perfectly and looked identical to the factory parts. Even the molded markings on the plastic housings matched exactly. After installing them, the microwave has been working flawlessly for several days. This kit is an excellent value and completely solved my issue. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Got these for a Whirlpool microwave that was having issues. Replaced all 3 as long as I was at it. Switches were a bit of a pain to remove from their mounts. Beware, the plastic pins and retainers are easy to break so take your time and try not to be too forceful. I took one of the old switches apart and the contacts were very black and pitted. Having a microwave above the stove is convenient but, the switches take the additional beating from moisture etc. of cooking on the stove. Same issue with another whirpool microwave at our cabin, boil water on the stove and the microwave keeps signalling that the door is not closed. So, switches are an inexpensive fix. Probably last for the life of the microwave now.

I had an issue, which many may find helpful on here, where my microwave was tripping the breaker. I used a multi-meter on the main plug while unplugged and it was beeping/reading bad. I opened the door and tried again and it didn’t beep. I set the breaker again at the panel and it stayed set so I knew it was more than likely a bad door switch. I replaced the door switches with this product in under 20 mins and the microwave is good as new and has been running fine daily for over a month now. By the way, the old door switches were very worn and was stuck/welded to itself causing a short. Don’t go buy an expensive new microwave if you are the least bit handy! Easy fix. Great product. Much more affordable than a new microwave!!!

Fixed my neighbors Whirlpool microwave while he was in the hospital. Microwave wouldn’t shut off when the door was closed. $11.44 instead of a new appliance for three to four hundred, all day long!

I bought these to attempt to fix a Kitchen Aid microwave and they didn't work. They come apart VERY easily and are cheap. If it works, great but dont expect much. For the price, its worth the try.

We had our house on the market and wouldn't you know it, the microwave stops working! I figured that I would either have to replace it (pain in the butt with an overhead unit) or pay at least a couple of hundred to get it repaired. Some quick Googling revealed what you probably already know - most problems are related to these door switches. These work for a Maytag MMV4205DS-3, and I guessing they will work for almost any Whirlpool manufactured microwave of the same age. Installation is simple enough - just Google your model and something close enough will be found on YouTube. I could not find my model, but found a couple that had a similar control panel, so removal was very close to the same. Just be careful because some models look like they have the transformer within reach, so make sure and discharge that baby before reaching your hands in there. NOTE: If your oven is completely dead - no power even when plugged in - that means you will also need a fuse. Mine had a dead fuse too - caused by me - and there are 2 of them in this model. One is easily located on the control panel board, but the other one was located at the very top of the unit, in the back, so required a set of needle nose pliers to reach it and pull it out. The transformer is up there, so had to be discharged. Home Depot type stores have these fuses in stock - in a handy 2 pack - LOL!.

This product seems good, I only need one switch for a door on a microwave and ended up using another switch on a pressure washer to fire the burner, so worked good for that as well, so I haven’t got to the microwave wave yet, but should be fine.

We have a 10 year old Kitchenaid microwave over the range ( YKHMS2050SS-3). It would start and then stop immediately. Using the " Popcorn " button on the front it said the " Door was Open", when, the door was closed. This is a problem with one or more door solenoid switches. . I ordered this kit from Amazon, delivered fast. I removed all three door solenoids ( one top right and two on the bottom right {. One of mine was bad. Changed all three ( using this kit) and microwave working within 2 hours of Amazon delivery. Make sure you take lots of picture when removing old switches since there are no instructions. Also since plastic of the microwave is old, the clips broke on the holders. I used a zip tie and it held the new switches in place. Not a super easy fix but this kit from Amazon saved us a new fancy microwave. Thank you Amazon...
