I think the results would not be as good with a standard anchor line. Holds my 20’ Glastron deck boat in shallow water (up to 4’) well IF you drive it far enough into the bottom. The lake where I live has a couple of inches of sand on top of clay and muck. It does take a fair amount of downforce as you drive it in to get it to hold (I use all of my 220 lbs to push it in as I twist). The bag it comes in is thick and high quality, and can easily hold the auger and bungee. The plastic tip is durable and does not scratch or damage the gel coat on my boat. A steel tip would probably make screwing it into the lake bottom easier, but would require extra care in storage. The shaft and handles are well made, durable, and plenty strong enough for the job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product! Worth the money *by M***. on October 21, 2021* I have a 18ft Tahoe Q4 Ski Boat that we primarily use on soft bottom lakes and was constantly struggling with keeping the boat in place when anchored. I have tried a multitude of anchors but always ended up struggling to pull the boat back into place/readjust the anchor while the wife and kids were swimming and having fun. With the Sandshark, I am able to quickly deploy the anchor and bungee line and it stay put until we are ready to leave. Plus their customer service has been super helpful. Highly recommended if you are having the same issues I've had. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked very well! *by M***. on July 14, 2020* Sometimes you have to rate a product on other factors. My Sandshark worked very well the first three times I used. I cleaned it as instructed and so on. The fourth time I tried to use it the trigger release didn't, work so I could not extend it. I contacted Sandshark help and they immediately took action. AWESOME!!!!. They sent me a new Sandshark and a shipping label for my return. I commend them for their quick response.
