Cats are having fun with it.
The media could not be loaded. I've had this for a few days and my cats have been enjoying it a lot. The kitten hasn't figured out how to get the ball over the hump yet, but the older cat figured it out right away. I attached a video of him playing with it. After a few days the cats aren't as interested as they were the first day, but then their interest lessened towards their circle track as well.Obviously the track isn't as smooth of a surface as the solid, one-piece circle units. I haven't found that this impedes play at all. As long as the pieces are snapped together tightly the ball rolls smoothly. The pieces are fairly flexible, but sturdy enough. Someone accidentally stepped on one side of the track and all that happened was a piece on the other side came unsnapped. I've tried 2 configurations so far and the cats have liked them both. The track is easy to take apart and snap back together for the different configurations. I'd say it was well worth the price, especially considering I got it for half the price it was selling for at a big box pet store.Update: 3 months later and both of my cats are still playing with this every day.Update part 2: 2 years later and they still love this thing. I purchased a second set to make it more complex, but they only want it in the single figure 8 configuration. One cat attacks the track and knocks it into pieces. 2 years of that and it's still holding up well with no breakages. I'd have to say this is the best cat-related purchase I've ever made.

Great big grin
I bought two of the track sets fearing that they would be ignored and planing on donating them to the local animal shelter in case they were a flop, cats are so hard to predict, but I couldn't resist this, what a great design! I set them up yesterday, and as feared, it was ignored after a couple of sniffs. I maniacally rolled the balls around the track for my two cats, a nine year old and a four year old, saying, "See?! Isn't this fun?!" Nada. Sigh. This evening however, the four year old walked by the track and gave one of the balls a whack. (YES!) He has been at it for a good ten minutes now. I did put a few treats under the balls for motivation. I'll try a pinch of catnip later and see if that will make the nine year old interested. So far the track hasn't come apart even with the vigorous activity, the rolling on it with legs flailing in the air, and this Tabby is a tad tubby. It's on short pile carpet right now but am thinking for those with problems with the track separating, maybe a sheet of foam core or Crescent board under it might solve that problem, I plan on doing something like that for when I need to move it. Gee, I want to get more track now, some of the configurations I've seen on YouTube are quite inspiring. The next day: The four year old, Mafufo, must have played with this all night. Each time I woke up I could hear the two balls bumping against each other. They sound like billiard balls. Needless to say, I dreamed I was playing pool.

My cat loves this thing!
I have a pretty active cat and he drives me crazy sometimes. Always bouncing off the walls when I'm home. He loves the nylon crumple balls, but he always pushes them under furniture so I figured I should get him something that he can't loose. I had to show him how to use it and he took a couple weeks to get the hang of it, but he plays with it all the time now. He likes to sit in the crook of the 8 and hit the ball as it comes under the bridge. He tries to hit it hard enough to go around and over the bridge. I like to push it around with him sometimes to.I can't give it 5 stars because the main complaint that I have is that the pieces of the track don't fit together perfectly and the ball can get stuck at the joints sometimes if it's moving slow. You can test matching pieces in different places to get the best arrangement, but it's still not perfect. The ball also has a weird molding divot in it but it rolls fine anyways. In any case, it's a good cat toy. If you have an active cat they'll love smacking the ball around. You can add more sets if you buy multiples, but I think this is a good size so the cat can sit in one place and keep it moving within reach.

The Best! Even my picky grumpy cat loves it!
This is an awesome cat toy! I have two cats, one is under a year and he is a crazy boy with tons of energy and the other is over 2 and he is a picky grumpy guy that is not easily impressed. I bought two of these kits since they can be built upon and all used together. My cats sat patiently watching me while I tried different combinations until I got it put together just right (they gave me less than five minutes before they tried to help!). It is actually very easy to put together but I am a little spatially challenged and I had a few fails where I ran out of pieces but had not completed the circuit! Once together the cats were ready to pounce! The little guy had the ball flying all over the track right off the bat and my big guys sat back and watched. A few reviews said that the cats have problems getting the ball over the hills, but my cats love doing that part. The little guy just pushes the ball back and forth over the hills and the big guy lazily pushes the ball around, but only as far as he can reach while laying down! All in all this toy has provided hours of fun for my cats and when they get board after a few weeks I just change the track around. This is really nice to get the excess energy out of my little guy while keeping my big guy from getting too fat…or at the very least sleeping ALL day!
