This book gave a great variety of information for first time dog owners as well as seasoned dog owners. It could scare off some potential people interested in this breed if they weren't familiar with herding breeds. I also understand that people make uniformed choices and some of these pets end up in shelters.

Most of the book was generic and applied to any breed. The few parts that were specific to the Minnie Aussie were so few and far between as to make the value of the book questionable.

Very helpful on a new breed for me.

This books is full of practical tips and advice. I have been thinking of buying a mini shepherd and after reading this book, I am ready for the dog to enter my home. I now know how to take good care of my new dog whilst I didn't have a clue before reading this book. I shall refer back to this book many times, I am sure. There is so much information, that it is not possible for me to remember it all, after reading once, but I am getting old haha
