Review: My travel day bag for 7 years and doing - I came back almost 7 years later to write a review. This has been my travel daypack for every trip I have taken in the last seven years. It’s the perfect size for walking around a busy city, taking the metro/train, or taking an easy hike somewhere. It weighs next to nothing, but is surprisingly durable. It holds more than expected. Simple and plain design doesn’t draw attention. It fits in museum lockers. Highly recommend. I will buy another if this ever fails, but it shows little signs of wear. Great bag.

It folded up super small and took up very little room in her suitcase. It would also be great to use if taking smaller kids on a trip to an amusement park or to the zoo. It's perfect for carrying snacks and an extra sweatshirt or jacket. It is water-resistant, so there's no need to worry about the items inside getting wet if it rains. **Q: Looking for a pack for hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing mainly. Worries: Durability, no chest strap. Have these been a problem for anyone?**
A: For rock climbing you will want a chest strap, so you are sure the straps stay where they should. Hiking - if you are carrying a sandwich and fleece jacket it should be fine, but I personally wouldn't go on a hike without padded straps and a chest strap...I carry a great deal more.

**Q: I'm 6ft tall and plus size do you think the straps will fit me comfortably or will they be too small?**
A: The straps have adjustable length.  I'm plus size and the backpack is comfortable.  I was surprised at how much it held.  All the necessities for a day hike including a light-weight jacket.  Know that the material is thin, like parachute fabric, but strong.  I'm happy with the purchase.  Love the pink, purple, and blue colors.  I also love that it all folds up into the inside pocket.  Folded up it's about the size of 2 slices of bread.

**Q: Isn't this exactly the same item also sold under the name Hikpro here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KX0B5HO ?**
A: I don't believe this is the same item. First, the Hikpro is reinforced in 14 areas PLUS has a reinforced bottom. Second, the Hikpro has over 3000 reviews with a full five star rating, while the Gonex only has 4.5 stars. I purchased this one because of the deal but already wish I had purchased the Hikpro and am thinking of canceling before it arrives and buying Hikpro. So no, they are not the same product.

**Q: Is its water proof reliable? I will be crossing borders and I dont want my documents to get wet**
A: It's not water proof. The material is thin and they are zips on it as well. I walked though a slight rain and my items in the bag got wet. I prefer that if you are going to travel it's best to put your documents and electronics in a waterproff bag or zip lock bag for precautions.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gonex vs Traditional Backpack

I just returned from my 2nd two week trip with this backpack. I came online to order another one in a different size bcs I love this one so much and was shocked to see it was labeled “frequently returned item!” That spurred me to write a review! I do not think this backpack would substitute for someone looking for a traditional backpack. But it was PERFECT for my needs. It is extremely lightweight. It holds sooo much! It held a large purse, 2 tablets, 2 water bottles, snacks, and a large foam roller for my back. (I use it as my personal item when flying.) It has front pockets for easy access to passports, phone, etc. It folds down to nothing if u want to throw it in ur suitcase. I have carried it all day and it served its purpose but it is not ideal bcs the shoulder straps r thinly padded. I can’t do a regular backpack bcs they r too heavy and hurt my neck. This caused me no neck problems wearing it all day. Just shoulder discomfort. Despite overstuffing mine multiple times the material and zippers have held up perfectly. I’ve already ordered another one in a different size so I’ll have more options!
