I've been using it as my workbench lamp for about 2 years. I love it so much that when I expanded my workbench, I bought another one even though it will take more than a month and a half to arrive.I like its look. I like its adjustability. I like its sturdiness.I have it clamped on a shelf about 2ft above the desk surface, and have it reaching out over my workspace. it is in this scenario that I evaluate its adjustability; I'm not sure I'd like it if I sitting on our clamped to the desk.

I am an artist, and this lamp is perfect. I use it every day. It’s easy to move to highlight my artwork as I am working.

I wanted a clamp-on desk light to free up more space on my nightstand but most other options had a cheap plastic clamp. This is one of the few that has a high-quality metal clamp, and while I didn't use the normal base it looks good and is heavy enough to hold the lamp in place. My one worry is the cheap in-line switch that is used to turn the light on and off, I would much rather have a rotating dial on the end of the lamp like my old lamp had. I already had a smart power strip so I use that to turn the light on and off instead so I don't have to worry about the switch. The wire is also much thinner than my old lamp but this won't be an issue unless you're using an incandescent bulb as LED and CFL bulbs draw much less power. I wish that the hood around the bulb was longer as the battery backup LED bulb I put in this lamp is longer that standard bulbs so I have to place the lamp at an odd angle to not be blinded by the bulb. Overall I'm happy with this lamp but there are some areas that could use improvement, though it's still better than a lot of other options.

So when i was first looking into this lamp, i saw mixed reviews. I saw people said it had bad weight balance, some people had fires and some peoples didnt work as soon as it arrived at their door. For me none of these where the case and i think its perfect for the money and id recommend it, it has a nice looking design with 2 choices of mounts, i use the desk mount and it hasnt disappointed me. most of it feels sturdy and made of some cheap metal or good plastic. the head rotates almost any direction you want and itll give you plenty light depending which bulb you put into it, mine lights up half of a really dark room with barely any light and if i had 2 i would have studio lighting lol. theres a switch on the wire that at first looked cheap, but the switch of the light actually feels good and itll last me awhile. overall if you need to save a couple bucks or just like the look of this lamp, its not a bad lamp, so id recommend it.

This item was built to last. We have went through many in the last 30 years, none better than this one.

This lamp was priced well, but from the beginning, I had a lot of problems. The globe was difficult to install due to warping, the metal is so thin that it dents easily (the lamp came pre-dented as well), and the arm gives too much resistance when I am trying to move it. The only reason why I did not return this lamp, was because all the other lamps were so expensive. I do NOT recommend this lamp.

It works just as described. Like the other reviews said the only pivot is the middle and top part. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials, ease of assembly, and the overall appearance. I almost went with the clamp base, but I'm glad I went with the "heavy" base - it allows a lot more flexibility in placement, design-wise, it's a very study and well built lamp, good inexpensive.

This lamp is everything I expected. The only thing I wish is that it has a higher wattage rating for a brighter bulb. Other than that it is a great addition to my work desk.

No nasty surprises, this is an arm lamp just as pictured. Classic. You can clamp it or add some weight to the tabletop base and stand it up as I did. My only "complaint" is that the on/off switch is inconvenient down on the power cable, as opposed to on the head of the lamp, but that's just a personal preference. Good value I guess.

Just got my table lamp today. It works well for the electrical. If you were intending to use it with just the base don't. As the lamp is too heavy to stand on it's own with just the base. Clamping it to the table on the other hand works fine. I'm sure the manufacture would have seen that the base was not working. Shame on them for passing it off as a two method lamp.

Its a good lamp that holds up well for the price; the added clamp is a bonus if you don't have as much desk space; the base is well designed and holds the lamp in place well

I bought this for beside my couch. I’m an artist and can’t live without a sketchbook at my side. I really needed a good light that would be comfortable while sitting or at my desk. I put a daylight bulb in it and it’s just what I was looking for.
