The MEDca Body Fat Caliper and Measuring Tape is a handy tool if you’re trying to track body fat and overall fitness progress. It feels simple enough in design, and having both the caliper and measuring tape included adds good value. That said, there is a bit of a learning curve. To get accurate readings, you really need to understand how to properly take measurements and how to read the chart that comes with it. Once you get the hang of it, it should be much more useful, but expect to spend a little time figuring it out at first.

This is a great set for most people that want a fairly accurate body fat measurement at home. The caliper is very lightweight and not as accurate as I would like. The calipers have a significant amount of flex in them when trying to take a measurement and the stop tab misses it's guide if you are not careful. Because of the flex in the caliper handle, I don't think the measurements are as reliable as I would like them to be. I can do a 7 spot measurement test 3 times and get different results each time. The included measuring tape is great. I like that is locks the tip in place to allow for one handed measuring of arms, legs, and chest. Readings are accurate and easy to obtain. If this was a review of just the tape, i would give it 5 stars. As a set, this one get s lower marks due to the lightweight calipers included. For an occasional use item for someone that just wants a basic and quick peek at their body fat, this is fine. If you are looking for something that creates reliable results every time, I would not recommend this set.

Worked fine but not the most well made thing. It wasn’t expensive and it took me a few minutes to understand how to use it. I still need to figure out how to read it. It’s very light plastic.

The device is supposed to “click” when you have the correct pressure, but the tolerances of the plastic is so bad that it just moves freely. You can try to watch the I’ll gauge but eyeballing it does not lead to consistent results. Totally inaccurate and cheaply made. Find something else.

This is a great way to monitor your weight loss or weight gain cheaply. I recommend taking your measurements from the same place every time and focusing on if the numbers go up or down. This is not going to get you definitive results like a DEXA scan, but it is quite handy and very cheap.

All worked as expected, measuring tape is double sided so shows inches and cm. Wish I could give a negative review purely for the results they gave, but that’s my issue Lol! Only down side is the instructions are for the hip area reading only - for best results use in multiple areas and calculate average

The given scale starts at 2-3mm. And no precision for 1mm... Atleast cheap and got a measurement band for sewing/waists
