I am 5'5", 145 lbs and have a somewhat muscular build with a larger lower half. I am also pretty small chested (34/36A in unpadded bras and usually a medium in bathing suit tops). I usually would order a medium in dresses, but due to the reviews and vanity sizing of a lot of these sportswear companies, I ordered a small which was absolutely perfect. This dress has a shelf bra in which you can add padded liners. However, in the picture I am not wearing liners but I probably would if I were to wear it out in public. The shelf bra was not too tight at all and I could imagine those with up to a B/small C cup would have enough room (although it would probably show a lot of cleavage!!). The length of the dress is nice as it hits right above my knees. It could stand to lose 1 or 2 inches though but its not a deal breaker! The material is hard to describe but I really like it and I've actually been looking to find other dresses that have the same material! It is very light, packs down, and is VERY comfortable to wear but I would not consider it "soft" or "stretchy." The shape skims your torso area and is very flattering. The shelf bra is comfortable, and the stretchy part in the back of the dress allows for more give if you have a larger chest area. I have machine washed/hanged dry and it came out wonderful!The only con about this dress is the design of the chest area. I believe the "puckers" are to hold and accentuate the breasts. However in my case my chest is so small that it just kind of makes a limp pucker. However, when I do wear padded inserts (which I am not wearing in the picture) it does help this problem. Also, if you have larger breasts the neck ties may get bothersome after a while.Overall I absolutely love this dress and feel that I am going to get a lot of wear out of it! I am 5'6" and about 140 and a 32 DDD. Fabric is very light and bust area has no padding, just very lightly lined. Would be perfect for a day outdoors in high heat-maybe the beach or outdoor concert, etc. Sadly, I did return because I just wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it except for a few places. I would also be staring fearfully at my chest (ready to cover myself with my arms) if I walked into air-conditioning (or if the temperature dropped) wearing this dress.
