Park tool products are reliable and function well. This product breaks the chain reliably and is nevesssry if you want to DIY on bike chain replacements. Just remove old chain and lay side by side with new chain. Break off any extra links on the new one.

This is a great bike chain tool. It's on the pricier side compared to something you can buy for cheaper somewhere like Walmart, but as someone who broke two of those cheaper tools doing the thing they were intended to do before settling on this, just go ahead and invest in something of better quality like this. You won't be frustrated like me and break a cheap plastic pin getting a chain apart, which means there's no easy way of getting another pin out to remove a link, so you're out of luck until you can get to the store the next day to buy another of the same tool. Save yourself some headache, buy something like this that's of good quality and some replacement pins, and don't worry about the tool breaking on you every time you go to use it.

IYKYK (If you know, you know). This is simply the top of the line chain tool. Park knocks it out of the park again with this tool. The combined quality, features and ease of use make it a tool every bike mechanic should own if you do any decent amount of riding. I grew up managing a bike shop for quite a few years and we used the Park Chain Tool for everything we did. When I started riding again recently, I was looking for a way to maintain my bike without having to bring it into my local bike shop and changing your bike chain is one of the most needed maintenance tasks. By nature, chains stretch over time, causing them to shift incorrectly or even not at all since the teeth of your sprockets no longer fits within the spacing of the chain links. I recently reached over 650 miles on my bike, checked the wear of my chain (with the Park Chain Checker Tool) and immediately replaced my chain. Not only did my bike shift better, but I had peace of mind knowing that my chain was ready to rock for another 650 miles. Simply the best. Great tool!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The Park Tool 3.3 is absolutely THE BEST chain breaker that I have ever used. There are other chain breakers out there with similar designs that you can buy for less money. But they have smaller and weaker components. If you want to try to save a few bucks, go right ahead. But after a lot of effort and frustration, you are just going to come back and get a Park Tool anyway. After you complete a job in 2 minutes that you struggled for hours with in the past, you'll wonder why you didn't save your time and money and just get a Park Tool in the first place.

The tool cracked after the third use. I have several Park Tools and I have been very happy with the quality and functionality of the equipment but this one failed within a very short time after purchase. After completing the PT warranty form on their website Chad immediately sent a replacement. Great customer service!

I have tried several different chain breakers, some cheap and some expensive, this one is the best. No bells or whistles, simple design and easy to use. Durable with a smooth operation. Feels good in hand and isn’t overly heavy. This tool makes it easy to remove links and cut the chain. This is the best value for your money.

Es una herramienta muy precisa y facil de usar a diferencia de otros rompe cadenas con los cuales me fue muy dificil o imposible cortar la cadena. Yo ando en BMX, cambie una cadena odyssey half link con esta herramienta y no tuve ningun problema, hice el cambio en 2 minutos.

Eerst had ik een goedkopere variant van dit tooltje, maar dat werkte helemaal niet en deed mijn ketting kapot en het tooltje zelf was na 4 pogingen ook verwrongen. Met dit prijziger tooltje daarentegen haal ik schakels uit mijn fietsketing als boter!
