No tabs for different categories. My granddaughter requested a recipe book from me this year for Christmas sharing with her all our favorite recipes. It is just what I had been looking for. I am however very disappointed in the back cover. The heart on the back cover is so cute, however also on the back cover is a permanent bar code which takes away all the great looks. I am hoping I can somehow cover this up, as it takes away from a very special gift.
