SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIOR LITE, BACK WHEN WE ACTUALLY FOUGHT FOR THINGS WORTHY OF THE EFFORT!
Only as an adult now can I understand the many social justice messages hidden in many Medical Center episodes. This was back in a time when the fight was for basic human rights for all essentially normal people. The social justice messages in Medical Center are well crafted so they don't bludgeon you over the head relentlessly as is the case today. The message delivered with subtly woven into the story so it flows easily into your mind. The major difference between the often blatant if soft peddled social justice warrior messages in Medical Center and today's garbage is Medical Center respected its audiences. Medical Center was lite on preaching and focused more on laying the facts out using the story to show rather than tell you how the social justice themes played out in real peoples lives. The best thing about Medical Center's social justice episodes is that they presented the Social Justice Warrior perspective and left it to the viewer to decide for him or herself what to believe or take away from the message.Medical Center is refreshing in the honest, adult and mutually respectful way it handles thorny social issues it faced. Medical Center faced a LOT of issues that find currency today years ago but it did so with grace born of good writing that respected its audience and assumed its audience was mature enough to make up their minds. Today most Social Justice media is more propaganda than entertainment which is why I buy old TV series like Medical Center.

FAVORITE MEDICAL SHOW OF ALL TIMES!
This is my favorite medical show of all times. I still love it. I enjoy the story lines, themes, and a seeing many of my favorites actors. Since I worked in the hospital for many years, I get a kick out of the clothes and nursing uniforms. Seeing the medical equipment makes you realize how things have changed. But one thing never changes, Dr. Joseph Gannon is still handsome. LOLI plan on getting all of the seasons. But I wish they wouldn't have changed the theme song. Hearing it makes me think of a Disco Club...

An enjoyable blast from the past!
I was a little hesitant to order because several reviews said the picture quality was not very good, but I thought it was excellent! I am wondering if these shows have been digitally remastered as I was very happy with the quality of the picture. I did have to turn the sound up, but I've had to do that with many other dvd's as well, so that was not a major issue for me and I'm not sure if it's the dvds or my dvd player that's at fault. The only negative is the price....I'm glad they are releasing the shows from long ago but I do wish they were more affordable. As much as I enjoyed a trip down memory lane and seeing Chad Everett once again (one of my all-time favorite actors), I thought $36 was a bit spendy for just one season. However, I'm glad I bought season 4 so now I am watching and waiting for the rest of the dvds to become more affordable as I hope to eventually get the entire set.

This isn't my favourite season of Medical Center
This isn't my favourite season of Medical Center. The color quality is not always good (too dark sometimes) but, the biggest flaw is that there isn't subtitle neither in english and for me sometimes is difficult understand everything. Said this, Chad Everett is a great actor and I love him and his character Dottor Gannon too. I'm in love with him since I was a little girl (a lot of time ago).who wouldn't want Dr. Gannon as your physician and friend!?!I give 5 stars for CHAD EVERETT and the series. The dvd's quality deserve 4 stars

I naturally LOVE this DVD set and have collected all the seasons ...
As a huge fan of this show and the actors, Chad Everett and James Daly, I naturally LOVE this DVD set and have collected all the seasons which have been released. The picture and sound quality are superb, better, even, than I remembered when I watched faithfully years ago. I'm a very happy camper! The seller was easy to work with, with incredibly fast shipping! If you remember this series and enjoyed it back in the seventies, you will want to purchase this set. You won't be disappointed!

Great
It is always nice to watch the shows / tv shows from the 60's & 70's the story is good and the actors are wonderful. So sad that is not the way it is today in the year 2020 you would think they would of be better by now not 100% worst. Still is great that you can get this shows on dvd's. I look forward to getting the rest of the series, but the price will have to come down some.Thank You

Dr. Lochner, where are you?
Dr. Lochner is away in France on holidays for the first several episodes of this season. When he returns he doesn't look or sound well. Poor James Daly. But then the season picks up, and as usual Dr. Gannon doesn't disappoint. The sound and picture are of good quality.
