Fixed the problem
Watched a video on what was wrong with the switch. Was going to buy this through an auto parts store. Glad I was referred to Amazon for it. 20 to 25 dollars cheaper than those guys. The part is new and worked as it should. I now how all 4 fan speeds for my air/ heater. And the delivery was quick.

Perfect fit and Operation
Have 2008 Ford Explorer XLT.. The manual heating dial started goofing up; the number two spot had no effect on the air flow.. Bought this and installed, has been working flawlessly; thru the hot summer and we are almost done with winter, everything works fine with this.

Good price -easy install.
This fit my 2008 Ford Explorer with manual controls. Fairly easy install - open the glove box (all the way down) and remove old part - install new part. Requires 8mm wrench/socket.

Solved fan switch issue.
Bought this for an 08 explorer. The manual heater switch would only allow low or high fan output, but nothing in between. After installing this resistor everything worked perfectly. All fan speeds work.

It corrected my only one speed fan issue.
This was an exact fit, which is what I expected from Motorcraft.I have large hands so accessing the resistor was a bit of a challenge for me, given its location.I watched several YouTube videos prior to replacing it and they were a big help.If your fan on your explorer only runs on HIGH or OFF and you have a manual speed control then this is the fix.
