Bellísimos cuentos que me leyeron en la infancia. Para aquellos que nacmios en Cuba fue un libro de cabecera de nuestrospadres para nsotros y despues de nostros para nuestros hijos.Mi esposa lo compró para una amiga que tendría un nieto y quería leerle estos cuentos, con los que ella misma creció y de paso, además del inglés, comenzaran a aprender el idioma de sus padre y abuelos.

Loved it. Me encantó con buenas historias de la Infancia.

Letras muy pequeñas

I bought this because i had in mind a book when i was little and lived in cuba. Its not the same but it has a lot of the same stories and things I remember.

This edition is a desecration of a classic work by Cuba's cultural hero of the late 19th century. Among the many other distinguished accomplishments achieved in his brief life, Marti was a gifted poet and writer, and La Edad de Oro is a digest of poems, stories, and sayings that the writer compiled to entertain and instruct younger readers. The subject matter ranges from a retelling of Homer's Iliad to fairy tales to history that Marti thought every child should know.I purchased this book because my wife is Cuban and she had memorized some of the poems in the book when she was a student and still remembers them fondly. It was not until I found a different edition of the book that I realized the extent of the butchery that this edition had suffered at the hands of a publisher who obviously had no scruples about presenting the writing in any organized fashion. As other reviewers have mentioned, this edition is not only stripped of the illustrations that should accompany the text, but the text itself is one rambling document with no demarcations to indicate where one piece ends and the next one begins. I have never seen anything like this. It should never have gone to press like this, and you should choose another edition if you are interested in the book.

Para estudiar

As expected, but what I did not expect was to find the whole layout totally screwed up with the titles of the upcoming stories at the end of the previous stories. It is a line after line of text in a paragraph without a proper index, beginning or end of stories, surely there should be some editing availabilities in this system to arrange a proper layout, margins, headings and the rest of it? For someone not familiar with this book this will be very confusing. I just hope there is no missing bits (will have to rely on remembering those beautiful stories read over 30 years ago). Very disappointed

Muy mala edición, ni siquiera tiene las ilustraciones que caracterizan a la Edad de Oro y son tan bonitas

en el anuncio de compra especifica que viene con ilustraciones pero parece que se han quedado en la imprenta, porque ni una , un libro que se supone que es para un niño que comienza a leer y las letra pequeñas y nada de imaginación

Maquetación y encuadernación muy distinta al original que recuerdo de cuando lo leí por primera vez.

Excelente
