Pressing the reset button triggers the clock to attempt to get both hands to 12. Moving the clock to a room in the house that doesn't have any electrical devices and leaving it overnight saw the clock more to almost the right time. Mine is persistently 1 minute fast, the setting controls only enable advancement so aside from advancing by 1 minute 59 times I'll just have to live with it. I bought the clock for the outside garage so absolute accuracy isn't critical.
