Worth Home Oil Rubbed Bronze Recessed Can Conversion Kit Adapter Only

Love this and wish I had purchased it years ago. Canned lighting over the kitchen sink wasn't nearly as useful as having the pendant light.

I bought these to upgrade our hallway from the boring can lights. This light system did not disappoint! So easy and no electrical knowledge needed. You don’t even have to remove the old can lights. Simply take out the bulb and screw into place!It was a little tricky to get the cord wrapped up to the height I wanted. They appear to be made for people that have really high ceilings. The instructions weren’t very clear, however I got it figured out. The challenge was getting the plate to stays tight against the ceiling and to get the wire to hang in the center. The first one took me almost an hour to figure out. The next three took less than 15 minutes!I ordered retro clear glass shades and used retro-look 60 WAT LED bulbs. It gives off a warm glow in our hallway. So nice!

Works great and was easy to setup.

The product itself is great, simple & clean. Install is literally as easy as replacing a light bulb.My only problem is i ordered the "oil rubbed bronze", which is essentially black with bronze highlights... i received something i would describe as "brushed nickel" which is silver in color.

As a single homeowner without any electrical knowledge but wanted to get rid of my hideous can light in my diningroom, this was the PERFECT solution!!!!!If it sits a little off center of covering the old light, just use a little double sided tape and it will be perfect! Also, give it a few days and the “wrinkles” of the cord iron out.The shade was extra but I got to choose any shade I wanted!!!!The easiest upgrade ever!!!!

We have an old bathroom that has recessed lighting over the vanity. Tried many solutions but with three of these with 100 watt bulbs it still was too dark in there. I came across this beauty and was so glad I did! It screws right into the recessed light socket, you adjust the length you want it and slide the cover up add your choice of shade, screw in a bulb and voila! You're changed your lighting and look instantly with no electrician fee.I recommend that you wait until you've gotten your connector screwed in and your wire adjusted before you put on the shade and bulb, this allows easier installation without the extra weight. The cap and the medallion cover (not sure what it's called) are made of metal and in a very nice color which will go with many decor choices. To keep the medallion from sliding down a bit we just used a bit of tacky putty, the kind you hang up posters with, under the rim and it stays fine, looks like a permanent install, but even better if you're renting because you can take it with you.We were thinking of getting two more for the other recessed lights in there but even with only a 60 watt bulb being lowered the light is plenty now, brighter than the 300 combined watts, so a savings on the installation, you get to take it with you and a savings every day on your electric bill.

To the person that came up with idea, I praise you! I am an engineering teacher and THIS is what I am always preaching to my students...an innovative idea that is so simple, yet so intelligent. No joke, this is not a fake or paid for review...these things are awesome! I moved into a home with tons of can lights! First I went all LED bulbs, then I decided to review how I could get rid of some of the can lights...that's how I happened upon these kits! Well, my kitchen DIY makeover is loving them. I am ordering more for another room!Two pointers....READ the directions about pulling down on the cord for the smart plastic to tighten the housing against the ceiling (GENIUS in its simplicity).Set up the length of the cord on the ground and try to remove as many bends/kinks from the wire prior to hanging...make sure to wind the wire and have it end in the center at the end of winding.

Easy to use and install. works well with an added shade.
