Great shoes, terrible insoles.
The shoes are amazing. I got these in the 13 4E size. I love the roominess and how wide they are. They also have a wide base and platform which I like. They breathe well and are lightweight considering they're alloy toe. Best and most important of all, they feel like actual tennis shoes and not work shoes. Now the bad. The insoles are terrible! I'm a bigger guy around 290 but I've only been wearing these for two days and realized the insoles were no bueno. As you can see from the photos the very thin foam insoles are already crushed in places allowing little to no rebound. I've only worn them for 2 8 hour work shifts. I've remedied this by replacing them with Dr. Scholls Extra Support insoles which seem to fit this shoe like a glove without trimming. Now, they're like walking on air!

Comfortable, functional and high quality
The product arrived via fast delivery (before 8 am next day). I wonder if Amazon knows that this product is likely to be needed for work and therefore offers extra fast delivery. The shoe fits great. The sole does not have any arch support but thankfully, it can be replaced easily with another insole. I bought the black and grey which looks very non-discrete and low maintenance. It's bulkier than a running shoe but not as much as a hiking shoe. The leather upper should hold up better than nylon uppers. NB has a reputation for making shoes that are good for your feet so that's another reason for going with this shoe. I purchased another competing shoe but the fit and quality for NB was better. I expect to be walking around industrial environments in my profession so this shoe should serve me well for travel as well.

Very comfy all day long on concrete floors, very minor issues
I bought these as my running shoes fit, made by New Balance, is just right for my feet and they are very comfy for running or other sports. So I figured these should be good. They are very, very comfy to wear all day on a concrete plant floor, way more than I expected, so that is a plus. Lightweight, much lighter than the standard issue shoes or boots, which is also a plus. Soles are grippy, which is good. Seems to be mildly chemical resistant - hydraulic oil, coolant, minor chemicals. However, the issue for me is how the soft layer starts to tear away from the sole. I have found that the corners of the sole in the grooves to allow it to flex, have started to separate from the soft layer because the foam is tearing. Not good for longevity. I have currently tried to fix this with some dabs of E6000 adhesive and I will see how it holds up, but this is a concern for me. Everything else has endured daily wear, around manufacturing plants, through many airports and they still look good considering how much I wear them. Just this tearing, which is not through abuse, I am pretty careful, it is a design flaw where these corners can catch and drag on any edges on a floor. Overall I am very happy with them and will wear them until they fail.

Go ahead and order them....pros outweighs the only con I found.
Just received them, was worried about insole from reviews I read....contemplated buying gel insole to arrive with shoes. But remembered I had a barely used pair in my heavy steel toe wolverine boots. Did not (or do not think I will) need insoles in my opinion unless you have a really high arched foot. I'm not totally "flat footed" and have in my opinion a normally arched feet, as first review I read they are comfortable right out of the box, and I was pleasantly surprised at how light weight they are...honestly think they are lighter than my non steel toed (or non composite/alloy for the people that have to use protective toed footwear and not actual steel toes) new balance 608 walking shoes, only thing I really noticed is they are lower cut at ankles than any New Balance show I've owned. I ordered the 10.5 W. I weld power diesel torque converters in a climate controlled environment yr round, I was previously a Industrial welder....not sure I would wear these for Industrial maintenance construction demo work. But most definitely best show for light duty production work. I havent used them in wet conditions, and wouldn't imagine they would keep feet dry submerge to sides, but they appear sewn and sealed pretty good to top of toe. Comfortable Very light weight for 10.5 W Even light than my 608 NB walking shoes without toe protection Are lower cut at ankle than any NB shoe I've owned...but I've only been in them 8 hrs so far and lower cut hasn't rubbed ankle or heel too much. Take into consideration I do not walk excessively at work, mostly stand in place welding. If no problems with low cut in next couple weeks this will definitely be my go to work shoe, and I would purchase again

Top notch all the way.
These are serious work shoes, not just for safety. My job is hard as hell on shoes, hitting supports for line tracks constantly. No pair I’ve ever tried lasted even close to as long as these. Once you break them in they are surprisingly flexible also. If these are available I skip literally all other brands, no hesitation! The factory insoles are okay also but still not as good as premium orthotics if you need them. New Balance and Allbirds are all I get for trail runners also, because they are so comfortable. But for the price, as with many shoe types, you can’t beat the quality per dollar of New Balance, across the board.

Comfortable..light...quality, but they run a bit large.
Love these shoes! Comfortable, straight out of the box, with no hot-spots after a full 40hr work week, on my feet 100% of the time. Same NB quality as my other running shoes. My only tip would be to order at minimum a 1/2 size down. I first ordered these in my usual size 13, same as my NB runners, but found they run a lot bigger for whatever reason...at least for me. Feeling they were more than a 1/2size too big, I reordered them a full size smaller...size 12. Fit like a glove. I consider them “light” for a work/protection shoe, for those who are concerned with that stuff, since they feel about the same in weight to me as a set of sturdy trail runners. If they hold up well, as I’m betting they will with NB quality, will definitely buy these again when the time comes. Hope this info helps.

Great shoes, minor inconvenient problem
I really like these shoes, I have had them in an industrial area for 4 months now, they are holding up strong. But my biggest problem with them is the insoles, they slid out and I have to put them back in place 3-4 times per work shift, per shoe. I wish I didn’t have to result in having to buy insole glue to fix this problem, for that reason I am giving them 3 stars.

Happy feet
Very comfortable specially for someone who walks constantly for 12 hours a day. Will buy these again when I need a new pair, great work shoe, perfect rook for my size 13 extra wide feet, stylish doesn't slip on the concrete floor, very supportive and helps with the knee pain, great value, buy them you won't regret it

サイズ、 幅はもうしぶんなし!
なかなかサイズなくて 助かりますが 履いたり脱いだりするので かかとの中の生地が破けて縫っても 他から裂けてきます。金額も高めなので もう少し丈夫な造りだといいなぁー

100% recomendable
