Works beautifully
Lightweight, easy to maneuver. I needed a smaller mower to maneuver in the back yard; plus I am getting older and pulling a cord on a manual mower isn't my thing anymore. Spouse says it looks like a toy; but it cuts very well and does a good job. I also opted for the electrical plug in as opposed to a battery so I can determine when I am done mowing as opposed to the battery running down.

Efficient and Compact Electric Lawn Mower
The American Lawn Mower Company 50514, and it has proven to be a reliable and efficient tool for maintaining my lawn. Here's my detailed review: Easy to Use and Maneuver: One of the standout features of this electric lawn mower is its user-friendly design. The controls are intuitive, making it easy to operate, especially for those new to lawn care. Maneuvering the mower is a breeze, and its compact size allows for easy navigation around obstacles and tight corners. This feature is particularly handy for those with smaller yards or intricate landscaping. Simple Assembly: Putting together the American Lawn Mower 50514 was a straightforward process. The instructions provided were clear, and all the necessary components were included. I appreciated the minimal assembly time, allowing me to start using the mower shortly after unboxing. Downside: Short Power Cable: While the American Lawn Mower 50514 boasts many positive attributes, the short power cable is a notable downside. The limited reach can be inconvenient, requiring the use of an extension cord for larger yards. This is something to consider, especially if you have outdoor areas that are farther away from electrical outlets. Overall Impression: Despite the short power cable, the American Lawn Mower 50514 is a reliable and efficient lawn care tool. Its ease of use and maneuverability make it an excellent choice for individuals with smaller yards or limited storage space. The straightforward assembly is a bonus for those who prefer hassle-free setup. If you can work around the power cable limitation, this electric lawn mower is a solid investment for maintaining a neat and tidy lawn. In summary, the American Lawn Mower 50514 strikes a balance between functionality and convenience, making lawn care a more enjoyable task.

Little but does the job
I had an Earthwise 19" corded mower that was just about to turn 15 years old when it suddenly gave up the ghost halfway through my lawn. So, while I try to figure out how to deal with that issue, I got this one to keep up with the grass -- same company, different name, far tinier mower. Mine came from the returns pile, and I imagine I had the same problem as its previous owner: I could NOT figure out how to lift the blade height on this thing. I've used a lot of different mowers over the years, but this one purely stumped me. The directions were no help at all. After watching a few unboxing videos on another site, I figured it out at last. Basically you pull that green lever outward toward the wheel and hold it. This pulls free the small metal pin on the lever's inner side. Then, while holding it out, you push the lever upward, toward the mower body, which moves that metal pin upward in its track to a new hole. This raises the blade height so you're no longer cutting at default dirt level. Other than that, I had to get over the mild shock at how light and tiny this mower is -- it really does look like a toy mower. But it does a good job! I've mowed the entire lawn three times as of now. It does take a little longer because it's small, but it cuts really well, and you feel slightly less noodly in the end because you haven't been pushing and hauling around as much weight. My old electric mower used to overheat when I hit longer grass, so I'd have to stop and let it cool off; this one doesn't appear to have the same problem. However, because this one's so light, you have to take care not to lean on the handle and tilt the blade off the grass or you'll wind up with uncut swathes. The cord clip looks flimsy, but I've accidentally tromped on the cord several times, and it's kept everything plugged together. And it does sound like you're hoovering the lawn -- it's a bit quieter than my old mower, I believe. That said, I wish it had a side chute for the grass because I don't want to use that clipping bin (I mean, where am I going to dump that out?). So instead I stop periodically, unplug the mower, and tip out all the grass that's gotten packed into the back of it so I can kick it out over the lawn. Annoying, but not a big deal, I guess.

Has worked great for six years, and I actively abuse this thing
I bought this mower about six years ago. I've absolutely beat the hell out of it. It's a little narrow so obviously not great for large yards, but it's been super reliable for me. Last week, it finally failed. The really great thing is: you can "debug" this thing with a multimeter. Setting the multimeter to continuity, what ended up failing was the small piece of wire to the switch where you plug it in (the one with a male plug and a plastic shield, where the unit plugs in. I frankensteined a new plug from a piece of extension cord (I opted for 16 gauge wire, since I have reason to believe this part of the mower may be a poor man's fuse) and it worked great. Is this mower groundbreaking? No. But for $110ish that I paid for it in 2019, it's been a total no-brainer purchase, and I love I can debug it with a multimeter.

To avoid!
I bought this electric land mower in June 2024 trusting the 5 stars reviews and disregarding the 1 and 2 stars. I should have known better. First this item is very small! I could not believe it when it was ready: it looked more like a toy than a tool. It was a pain to use it in my small backyard, the bag is small and had to be emptied too often. It took me for ever to mow my lawn. It was not a pleasure, it was a chore. I used it four months, twice a month. May 2025, it was time to cut the grass. I used it for an hour, and then it stopped. I tried to start it again and again, to no avail. I tried with an other extension cord, but nothing happened. This land mower is dead, as it died on many other customers. I went to Lowe’s, bought a new land mower battery powered, regular size, and finished mowing my lawn. Two weeks later I cut my lawn, it was a pleasure, it was fast, and I did not have to empty the bag before the work was done. Stay away from this item, or be ready to buy a new one very soon.

Woman Friendly
I love it! As a woman this is my first time ever mowing my yard and I must say this made it an easy process. The assembly was easy. I watched a YouTube video on how to set it up. It's super light but powerful. My only con is that I wish I got a wider blade. Other than that I have no complaints!

CHEAPLY MADE AND WON'T LAST LONG
works good but you have to open it buy taking off the top cover periodically because the inside fills with grass and will stop working. I am sure this last time did it in and burnt it up! It lasted about 1-1/2 years.

Purchased to replace a broken 13" electric mower, very happy I got it open-box/like-new
Bought to replace a broken Ryobi electric 13". One thing to get out right away is that the cutting blade is actually 13" and not 14", I measured it and also I have a replacement blade (meant to be used with the now broken Ryobi) that fits perfectly, directional mounting holes included. Other than the small difference wrt advertised size (maybe they meant something lese with 14" not sure) it works exactly as my old lawnmower, aside cosmetic differences I wouldn't be surprised the active components are about the same (I already know the cutting blade is). I am happy with my purchase because I got this as open-box/like-new and the discount made it a no brainer for me. Watch out that exactly as the old lawnmower in this one at the bottom where the blade is connected there are small "ventilation holes" and grass does get in (learnt it the hard way), the only way to clean that space is to completely unscrew the top cover (there are 5 screws in the same exact position in the 2 lawnmowers, on the old one one of the screw was underneath a sticker, in this one all screw are visible). Note that although there are many similarities with my old lawnmower, the switch mechanism is different, the shape of the grass collector at the back as well (I can't reuse my old one) and the mechanism to lower/raise the cutting level is also slightly different. So this lawnmower is not technically identical to the aforementioned Ryobi.

Amazing Lil Thing !
SUPER easy to put together. Making Kraft dinner is harder. This thing is lightweight. It does look like a toy ( don’t buy an actual lawn mower cover or you will have enough to cover 4). But my little lawn was a breeze. Going to try holding a margarita and mowing this beaut again soon. Stay tuned for a warning not to drink and maneuver this little gem.

Super eficiente.
De verdad que quedé sorprendido por el eficiencia de este aparato, al principio pensé en una podadora de gasolina pero ya que he usado esta esta genial, sigue el manual de instrucciones o algun tutorial de youtube, deja el cesped hermoso de bien cortado. Recomiendo.

Looks like a toy but sure isn’t.
I been using electric mowers all my life. In range of 19 to 21” widths. This One is so small i was concerned it was a “toy”. But to my pleasant surprise it cuts really well and is so quiet. So light that anyone aged 13 and up can do the lawn. Even has an easy central handle to downright lift it. It really does cut well maybe because of a high rotation speed. Its almost all plastic which is new for me but guess what means i can hose it down carefully and store it indoors. My only feedback would be: 2 prong power connector doesn’t seem right for outdoors, the highest cut height is a little short for my cutting habit, the bag is a little small but so is the whole mower so i understand. Definitely not a toy Light and effective.

Funcionalidad
